Meri Brown: A Product Of Decisions NOT Circumstances
Meri Brown has been scrutinized by fans for staying in a loveless marriage. There has been no intimacy for around a decade. Plus, she felt immensely alone during the pandemic. So, why does she stay? The queen of memes, quotes, and subliminal messages has seemingly dropped another one. This one apparently answers everyone’s ahead of the Sister Wives Season 17 premiere.
Meri Brown: Discarded Wife
In the beginning, Kody Brown seemed to appreciate his first and only legal wife, Meri. They had their date nights and anniversary trips. Then his fourth wife, Robyn entered the picture and the favoritism was blatant to everyone. Luckily, the two women truly got along very well so it actually worked quite well. Unfortunately, everything shifted when pressure was out on Meri to make a decision about IVF. Robyn offered to be a surrogate but Meri needed a lot of time to think.
Her marriage was suffering and she was getting older. Finally, she passed but there was more to the story. There was a need for Kody to adopt Robyn’s three kids from her first marriage. Therefore, Meri divorced Kody so Robyn could wed him and make the adoption process smoother. It pushed Meri down a darker hole and she ended up down the dark hole of the Internet. She ended up getting catfished which led to a disconnect from her family.
The marriage continued to fall apart but Meri took control buying a bed and breakfast on her own. Then, the family moved to Flagstaff and they all lived at a distance. It was harder than ever before and Kody made Meri feel like a leper. On their thirtieth wedding anniversary date, she tried so hard. However, he kept saying she needed to woo him which she was doing but he did not care. When the pandemic hit, he never went to Meri’s on the rotation. She began to feel that if she got sick, no one would know or even care. So, why stay?
Making Choices?
Meri Brown loves to post motivational and sometimes cryptic quotes. Many have wondered if they are directly applicable to what she is going through in her life. With Season 17 of Sister Wives premiering in September, there are a lot of questions. Yes, it will revolve around the demise of Kody and his third wife Christine’s marriage. Yet, where does Meri stand in all of this? Last season, many felt that she was overly desperate with the way she would take every morsel she could get from Kody.
She acknowledged people did not understand why she was staying and now she has posted a quote to her Instagram story. It talks about being a product of decisions over circumstances and that speaks volumes. Essentially, she is saying that this is her choice to live her life with her plural family. She can change when she wants and that is that. Do you believe her or is she just saying what she wants to believe?
