Carlin Bates Shares Next Steps After Ongoing Seizures, Concussion
Bringing Up Bates star Carlin Bates is giving fans all of the details about the next steps in resolving her ongoing health issues. She had another appointment and figured out what’s next. Keep reading to get the latest details she shared.
For the past few months, Carlin has been having seizure-like episodes and passing out. This all started shortly after she had her second baby, Zade.
She has been in and out of the hospital, has had several tests done, and has had many appointments. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have answers yet about what might be causing the seizures or what she can do about them.
Most recently, Carlin Bates had a seizure and ended up falling and hitting her head pretty hard. Her doctor believes she now has a concussion on top of the ongoing seizures.
Now, Carlin has another update for fans about what’s next. A couple of days after her concussion, she had a follow-up appointment in hopes of getting more answers.
Carlin Bates gives fans an update after her follow-up appointment.
On her Instagram stories on Thursday, July 21, Carlin took fans along with her as she visited her doctor. Below, you can see a couple of the snaps she took as her morning began.
Then, while she was at the appointment, she shared several more photos with Bringing Up Bates fans. She specifically saw her neurologist this time. As she had her blood drawn, her husband, Evan Stewart, took a snap.
Then, after her appointment, Carlin Bates got back on Instagram to give fans some details about everything that’s ahead. She said that she found out that her EEG came back clear, but it was because she didn’t have an episode during that time. For now, she’s staying on her seizure medication so it can “regulate.”
She wrote, “Next step is to schedule a five day EEG after my follow up appointment with my cardiologist.”
Before leaving the hospital, Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart posed for a selfie in the car. She wrote that they are planning to “take it one day at a time.”
Then, she added, “If another episode breaks through my meds… the main thing is to be in a safe place so I don’t hit my head again… because two concussions in a row can be dangerous.”
