‘Bringing Up Bates’ Has Carlin Bates Gone Mainstream?
Bringing Up Bates fans are speculating that Carlin Bates Stewart has begun to go mainstream. She grew up in a very conservative Christian home. She was homeschooled and expected to dress modestly as a child and teenager.
But now, fans think she might be making a switch. Some of her recent social media activity has her followers talking about whether she’s going mainstream.
So, what is Carlin Bates doing differently these days?
Bringing Up Bates fans wonder if Carlin Bates has gone mainstream.
In a new post on the Duggar Bates Confessions Instagram page, a fan pointed out a few of the recent changes they’ve noticed about how Carlin is living her life. The fan said that they were “super surprised” that she was watching Ted Lasso. The snap below is of Carlin’s TV at home. On the screen, you can see the Apple TV+ series, Ted Lasso.
In their confession, the fan also said, “They have gone pretty mainstream.” They also noted that Carlin’s two-year-old daughter, Layla, wears bikinis. If you watched Bringing Up Bates, you may recall how the family has dressed for years. By their standards, a bikini is pretty surprising.
In the comments section of the post, one fan said, “She’s married. She can follow whatever rules she and her husband choose.”
Another Bringing Up Bates fan added, “Laylas 2 I think it’s ok she’s in a bikini and carlins married with her own house I think she can watch whatever she wants.”
So, it looks like some fans aren’t too surprised to see Carlin doing her own thing these days.
Was Carlin Bates really watching Ted Lasso?
A couple of fans in the comments section of the Duggar Bates Confessions Instagram post pointed out that Carlin may not have actually been watching the show. Her TV showed an ad for the show and was prompting her to sign up for Apple TV+ if she wanted to watch it.
So, this isn’t exactly proof that she actually was watching the show. It’s possible that she did subscribe to Apple TV+ and start streaming the show, but this picture alone isn’t proof.
Also, in the past, Carlin and Evan have mentioned watching TV shows, including The Office.
