Jeopardy! champion Mattea Roach has become an Internet sensation after a historic 23-day winning streak. However, the game show champion is also adored for her positive attitude and hand gestures. Mattea recently took to Twitter to share a glimpse of her latest life update for fans.
Fans Wish To See Mattea Roach On The Tournament Of Champions
The champ shared a picture of herself relaxing on her outdoor porch on a chair with her pet dog curled up in her lap. The 23-year-old posed with the book she was reading, smiling for the camera. She captioned the post, “This is my year of rest and relaxation.”
Fans were quick to congratulate the young record-setting game show winner. One Twitter user wrote, “You deserve it. Love your dog. Can’t wait to see you again in the Tournament of Champions.”

Mattea Misses Her 23-Day Winning Streak By $1
After her 23-day winning streak, Mattea missed the mark just by $1, leaving fans shocked. However, the Canada-based tutor flaunts the fifth-longest streak on the game show ever, with a total of $560,983 earnings. She lost the Final Jeopardy round to Danielle Mauer, a Georgia-based marketing manager, leaving fans speechless.

More so, the host for the week, Ken Jennings, has garnered the fans’ attention with several wishing him to take over as the game show’s permanent host.
As fans experienced the knockout final round, Mattea was in the lead with $19,200 to her name. She wagered $3601 from her winnings but failed to answer correctly. On the other hand, Danielle went into Final Jeopardy! with $11,400, of which she wagered $4200. Fortunately, she was able to answer the question correctly.
As per The Sun, Mattea’s wager brought her total to $15,599, which was just $1 shy of Danielle’s total. The final round category was ‘USA’ and about the international airport in Georgia, which is Danielle’s hometown. Therefore, she had the upper hand and responded with ‘Hartsfield Jackson.’

Moreover, given how easy it was for the contestant, Ken joked about it on-air as he anticipated how Jeopardy! fans would feel. However, he cleared the air for viewers negating any favoritism stating, “The questions are written months in advance before we know the contestants.”
Ultimately, Danielle stood at her podium, stunned as she was crowned the game show’s new winner.
Mattea Flaunts 91 Percent In-Game Accuracy
Mattea Roach bagged her first win on April 5 and declared that her student loans are paid off! Ever since then, there was no stopping the winner until now when she missed the mark by $1.
