When and where will On Patrol: Live premiere?

On Patrol: Live will premiere on Friday, July 22 at 9 p.m. ET. It will also return the following night on Saturday, July 23. It’s from the same producers as Live PD. Once again, Friday and Saturday nights will belong to Live PD nation.

They will have to come up with a new fanbase name based on the new show. Dan Abrams will return as host and Sean “Sticks” Larkin will return as one of the panelists. The new docuseries are similar in vein to Live PD. The cameras will follow different police departments on patrol across the U.S.

A&E canceled Live PD at the height of the Black Lives Matter movement and George Floyd’s killing. Since it was one of the highest-rated shows, it became the network’s flagship series, which led to other spinoffs.

Critics argued that the original series promoted “copaganda.” On Patrol: Live should address some of the burning questions left over from that time. The new series will also include input from Deputy Sheriff Curtis Wilson, who works as the Division Commander with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department in Columbia, South Carolina.

All three men will provide live analysis and feedback. They will also offer insights into the uniformed men and women in law enforcement. It will include live footage of what’s happening around the country. The live aspect of the series is what contributed to its popularity.

Live PD reboot premieres on Reelz

Unfortunately, the show will air on Reelz. That means it will lose a good majority of its fanbase. More Americans have access to A&E than they do with Reelz, which is available with certain cable packages. It’ll be interesting to see how the ratings stack up to their predecessor.

In a statement to Deadline, Abrams believes that “Reelz is the perfect home for On Patrol: Live.” This could lead to future spinoffs on the network, which is usually home to celebrity biopics and documentaries. Even Reelz is confident that this new series will attract Live PD Nation to the network. Both Half Moon Pictures and Big Fish Entertainment produce On Patrol: Live.

  1. Soooo excited for return of On Patrol Live. Reelz viewership is going to explode!! My son and I were faithful watchers of Live PD. He passed away from a heart attack June 2,2020 and PD was cancelled shortly after. Really missed the program.
