Honey Boo Boo: Second Mom To Pumpkin’s Twins?
Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson has a great “mother figure” in her older sister Pumpkin. She has been giving the teenager a semblance of stability since 2019. Now that Pumpkin is a mother of four, it seems that Alana is stepping up and returning the favor.
Honey Boo Boo Needs Some Sweetness
Growing up in the spotlight has its ups and downs. For Alana, she was known as little Honey Boo Boo for a very long time starting with Toddlers and Tiaras. It was her large and in charge, spunky personality that garnered her and her family their own reality series. Here Comes Honey Boo Boo revolved around her quirks but her family was not exempt. The series also starred her parents, Mama June and Sugar Bear plus her three sisters from June’s previous relationships. It became a complete guilty pleasure but the family just knew how to work well together.
Eventually, it got canceled due to their mama but they were able to rebound when she got her own show. Unfortunately, June started dating Geno Doak who seemed okay in the beginning. Then, he and June got in trouble with drugs and the law so Alana need a safe and stable place to live. Pumpkin and her new husband, Josh Efird immediately took her in, no questions asked. They gave her exactly what she needed and the best part is their firstborn, Ella wants to be a mini Alana.
Adding To The Brood And The Struggle Is Real
Shortly after Alana moved in, their other sister, Jessica came to live with the family as Mama June had pawned the title to her car. She had no place to go so she crashed on the couch, helping with Pumpkin’s daughter Ella. Yet, as Ella grew up, she would act like a mini Honey Boo Boo. Fans started to say Pumpkin and Josh should put her in pageants. Then, Pumpkin found out that she was pregnant for the second time. June was in a better place for the gender reveal but went MIA for the delivery.
This was really hard for Pumpkin as she could not understand where June went and why she could not make it. She showed up a few weeks later as if nothing had happened. Little Bentley had now arrived in the world and Pumpkin had a lot on her plate. Alana was about to turn sixteen, she had mouths to feed, and then June went off on her own…again. When she returned, she brought Covid to their home leaving Josh, Pumpkin, and the babies all seriously sick. Soon enough, Pumpkin would realize the brood was about to expand by two more. Luckily, Alana would be able to return the love and the favor.
Honey Boo Boo, Second Mother?
Pumpkin and her extended family recently took a trip to California. It was part business and part pleasure. While out there, they had all of their children and obviously needed some help. Luckily, Alana and her longtime boyfriend, Dralin Carswell were along for the ride. According to The Sun, Pumpkin, Josh, Alana, Dralin, and the four kids spent the day at Universal Studios. While Josh held Bentley, who is nearly a year, Alana and Dralin manned the twins’ strollers.
Frequent photos have been shared on this trip of Alana holding her infant niece and nephew. It is clear she recognizes what Pumpkin has done for her and wants to help in any way that she can. Recntly, it came out that Pumpkin texted her mother that she had no groceries. To that, June told her to go on TikTok to make some money. While in Cali, the family has some business meetings for their own show and meet and greets. Looks like, despite all of the obstacles, they are sticking together.
