Is Mama June Invited To Honey Boo Boo’s Graduation?
Mama June Shannon has really messed things up with her daughters. Though she claims she is trying to make it better, this is very hard to believe. With Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson’s high school graduation looming, will she be inviting her mother or is she taking a pass?
Mama June’s Sorted Past
Thanks to the efforts on June’s behalf, Alana became a household name as a tiny tot. She would put her in pageants thus she appeared on Toddlers and Tiaras. Her feisty and fun personality made Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ a standout. Therefore TLC gave her and her family their own reality series. Here Comes Honey Boo Boo was an eclectic mix of June, her longtime partner (and Alana’s dad) Sugar Bear, and her four girls from different relationships. They lived by the traintracks with fans tuning into appreciate the interesting antics. Unfortunately, June and Sugar Bear could not make their relationship work. They appeared on Marriage Boot Camp but he proved he had been unfaithful. Sadly, the series was canceled when June was seen with an ex who had an awful past.
She moved on and revamped herself by getting a fullbody makeover. That allowed her to find love but her new boyfriend, Geno Doak was anything but perfect. After some happy times, they fell down a rabbit hole together and ended up getting arrested for drugs. Alana needed a stable home so she went to go live with her sister, Pumpkin. Once June got her life back in shape and ended things with Geno in 2021, she acted like she wanted to be present. This was not the case as she left Alana at the airport to go meet a man, 24 in Alabama. She spent 50K on him but he ended up engaged to someone else. Upon her return to Georgia, she had a new man named Justin Stroud…and Covid.
Where Do They Go?
Alana is so over her mother that she does not know how to feel about Mama June. Last week, Dr. Ish showed up to speak with Pumpkin and her family about June. However, mama was not invited. The big question that has been lingering is will she still play a role in their lives and what type of role? According to Page Six, Alana talks to Dr. Ish about her high school graduation which is not that far off. At this point, she has no idea if her mother would even come.
“Every time with her it’s like, you get your hopes up, you get your hopes up … like I’m going to graduate soon, should I even invite you to my graduation because like, are you even gonna come?” the sixteen year old questions. She also added that her mother would probably want to bring her man. Alana recently shared that she had gotten into college and June says she would like to study nursing. However, no word on when she will officially graduate has been put out.
