‘DWTS’ New Host Hints? Show Insider Drops Clues
For quite some time now, rumors around the hosting job at DWTS have been going around. Inside sources continue to say that Tyra Banks will not be back for another season. However, the show’s execs haven’t confirmed nor denied that yet.
But now, there are some clues that a new host is on the way. Keep reading to get the inside scoop.
Did a DWTS insider just spill the beans?
As previously reported, Conrad Green is returning to Dancing With The Stars as an executive producer. He’s taking over from Andrew Llinares, who parted ways with the show earlier this year. Former host Tom Bergeron applauded the decision to fire Llinares. This lead many fans to believe that Llinares was behind the decision to replace Tom Bergeron with the wildly unpopular Tyra Banks.
Now, rumors keep going around that Tyra Banks is out too. And if these rumors are true, who is the new host?
Kristyn Burtt is a TV producer that’s heavily involved with DWTS. One fan tweeted and asked if she had any news to share about a host for DWTS. She replied,
“With a new (returning) EP and a new network, there are a lot of moving parts that have not been finalized. Info is likely to come later this season (but will come quickly once they lock things in place). Patience is going to be key here. I like what I’m hearing so far.”

Burtt didn’t really give anything away here. However, if Tyra Banks were returning, it seems like she would just come out and say that. Based on her word choice, it really does appear that DWTS has stepped away from Tyra Banks after all.
Execs confirmed that new episodes of DWTS will air on Disney+ this September, so it’s likely that fans will hear more information in the upcoming weeks.
Will fans have to say goodbye to their favorite dancers?
Fans can’t wait to hear more about the cast of DWTS Season 31. However, they may have to say goodbye to a few of their favorites. An insider previously revealed that the show’s budget is much smaller this year since it’s going to be streaming on Disney+ instead of on ABC. This means there will be less money to pay the dancers.
“With the show moving from the network to streaming, the budget has been vastly reduced,” the insider reportedly OK! “Sure, they would love to see as many familiar professional dancers return as possible but that isn’t likely to happen when the cast sees how big the pay cut is going to be. After all these years, the fans of the show know the dancers better than the ‘stars,’ but the new economics of the show makes it impossible to pay them what they have earned in the past.”

Tom and Erin- they made the show!! No one could be better than them. Tyra was the absolute worst. I quit watching just because of her! Couldn’t understand a word she said. Not personable at all.
I agree. She ruined the show and I suspect that’s a big reason why it moved to Disney+.
It quickly turned into the Tyra Banks show with her as the host. I’m not sorry yo see her go. Will I watch again? Don’t know. Depends on who the host is.
I agree Tom & Erin made you feel like you were there & pRt of the show.
I agree Tom & Erin made you feel like you were there & part or the show
Tom and Erin
Quit watching because of Tyra Banks. She was a terrible host. Though, I won’t watch when it airs only in Disney+. Seems to be a really dumb idea limiting their audience that way.
