Fed Up ‘Jeopardy’ Fans Want LeVar Burton Back, Why?
Jeopardy! fans are fed-up and frustrated. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, they’re tired of seeing Mayim Bialik make mistakes on the show week after week. Most have wondered when Ken Jennings will ever return. Now, there’s a new slew of fans who are sick of both hosts. Read on to see why they want LeVar Burton to come back.
Who will become the new host of Jeopardy?
Fans are dying to know who will become the new permanent host of Jeopardy! They should find out before the end of Season 38. Producers previously teased that the decision could happen “soon.” They also revealed that they might need multiple hosts to keep up with their ever-growing franchise.
There are spinoffs in the works. However, producers wouldn’t share the details of the shows, including how many hosts they have in mind. So far, Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik have passed the baton back and forth for much of Season 38. Bialik hosted her eighth consecutive week amid Jennings’ extended hiatus.

Who is LeVar Burton?
LeVar Burton was the host of the classic children’s show, Reading Rainbow. He was also a Jeopardy! favorite. Viewers rallied on social media to have him guest host Season 37. Burton ended up testing for the position. But, his episodes were aired during the Olympics, which worked against him.
Burton spoke out about his experience with hosting the beloved game show. He called out former executive producer Mike Richards for skewing it in his favor. Though Burton is salty about what happened, he’s remaining positive. He knows that everything works out for a reason.

Why fans want him back
Some Jeopardy! fans are fed-up with both Mayim Bialik and Ken Jennings. They think both of the hosts should get fired. They’re begging for LeVar Burton to become the new host of the show. Some of the fans think he would be the perfect replacement for the late Alex Trebek.
“I missed when LeVar Burton did it but how did he fare?” one fan asked on Reddit. “Was he good at it? He was my first choice.”
“Neither. [LeVar] Burton is the best choice here,” one fan responded.
“Only way I would ever watch that show, LeVar,” a third said while a fourth added, “I’m still solidly on team LeVar.”
Unfortunately, Burton won’t be invited back. He went on to host another popular show. The Star Trek actor hosted the 2022 Scripps National Spelling Bee. In the meantime, Jeopardy! fans found out that Jennings could return on Monday, July 18. A fan posted a screenshot on Twitter of their weekly TV listings which revealed Jennings’ name.
