Fans of the amazing Harley Quinn HBO Max show can start to get excited. After a long wait, it seems Season 3 is going to happen. Harley, voiced by Kaley Cuoco, is a gal living life without the Joker. Although, he still makes his appearances on the show. She plans to create her own gang and be better at being the bad guy than her ex. She and bestie Poison Ivy finally took the next step in their relationship at the end of Season 2. Fans were left wanting more as they wildly drove away into the sunset together.

Now the wait is over in July. On the new program announcements, Harley was listed for July streaming. While there wasn’t a specific start date listed, it gives fans hope that it’s coming. Read on for a short recap of the first two seasons and what the creators are saying about the first.

What Has Harley Quinn Been Up To?

A lot like the big screen Birds of Prey, Harley Quinn focuses on getting over the Joker in the first season. It also focused a bit on Commissioner Gordon losing his mind trying to control Gotham City. The show is funny while sticking to Harley’s violent roots and the dark pasts and motivations of Gotham’s most prominent villains.

The second season allowed Harley’s gang to shine with more humor and backstories. Characters like Batman, Superman, Lois Lane, and Cat Woman pay service to DC while letting the show be its own thing in the universe.

The show has been well received by hard-core comic fans and those who simply like Harley Quinn’s energy. Other voice actors round out the rest of Harley’s crew including; Tony Hale, Jason Alexander, and Alan Tudyk. They are the voices of Dr. Psycho, Sy Borgman, and Calendar Man respectively. Tudyk also voices Superman, The Joker, and Clayface.

More Fun To Come In The Next Season

One thing fans are most excited about is the romantic relationship between Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy. The showrunners, Patrick Schumacker and Justin Halpern have addressed the relationship between Harley and Ivy saying they don’t want to make will they break up or not part of the plot of Season 3.

They said “there’ll obviously be conflict and tensions between the two of them when certain things go wrong. But I don’t think we want that to be… we spent two years playing that, or two seasons, I don’t think we want to do that for a third season.” They’ve said they’ll dive more into Commissioner Gordon’s story and how he deals with the police department’s, “low approval.”

According to Comic Book, Patrick and Justin also said fans would learn more about Ivy’s past along with some of the other characters.
