Jill Dillard Opens Up About Deep Pain & Hairloss Caused By Josh Duggar
Former Counting On star Jill Dillard revealed that she suffered both physical and emotional problems as a result of her brother Josh Duggar’s actions. The Duggar daughter spoke about what she went through. Keep reading to get all of the details.
Jill and several of her sisters previously sued the City of Springdale, Arkansas, as well as the police department. This was in response to the police report containing the details of Josh’s molestations being leaked. It was leaked years after the disturbing events occurred.
When he was a teenager, Josh molested four of his sisters. One of them is Jill. Though a police report was filed, no legal action was taken.
When suing the City of Springdale and the police department, the sisters claimed that this document being leaked caused them “emotional distress.”
The suit has now been dismissed by the judge. However, court documents have come out, revealing what the Duggar daughters went through. These documents share some of the personal details of the Duggar girls’ lives. More recently, Jill Dillard opened up about how the leaked police reports affected her.

The Sun reports that in Jill’s deposition from September 1, 2021, she discussed the pain and hairloss she suffered. When asked about “physical injury,” she said, “The stress from it all caused me to be so stressed that, like, I almost, like – almost thrown up a couple of times.”
Jill admitted that she did not seek medical attention for her physical symptoms. She did, however, find therapy to be “beneficial.” She stated, “I believe it’s good for anyone.”
The court documents reveal Jill Dillard’s symptoms as a result of the leak. They read:
“On a regular basis, she feels emotionally overwhelmed and prone to tears… She actively strives to manage emotions, distract herself and ‘not think about’ the ‘ubiquitous’ triggers. She tries to bury it.”
Hopefully, Jill Dillard continues to receive the support and guidance she needs to navigate this difficult event in her life. She is now a mom of two sons, Israel and Samuel, and is expecting her third son in July. From social media, it looks like Jill is doing well.
