Andi Dorfman Isn’t Digging Having Two ‘Bachelorette’ Leads
Former Bachelorette Andi Dorfman is loved by fans ever since she made her debut on Juan Pablo’s season of The Bachelor. She went on to have her own season and got engaged to Josh Murray. They split and she kind of laid low for quite some time as far as dating. Now, she’s found the man of her dreams and is engaged. She’s a supporter of the franchise still. However, she isn’t quite on board with having two leads for the upcoming season.
Andi Dorfman isn’t loving having two Bachelorette’s
US Weekly shared what Andi Dorfman had to say about Rachel Recchia and Gabby Windey being co-leads on The Bachelorette. She isn’t exactly loving the idea. Here’s why.
Andi said, “I want to be supportive because it’s a franchise that literally put me here right now, so I always feel a bit of support, but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t bummed that it’s two women.” She went on to say, “I’d like to see two men go at it. I don’t know. It gives me a little sexist vibe there that I don’t really love.”
Andi knows firsthand how hard it can be going through the show. So, she plans on showing her support to both ladies as their season airs. She said, “I know all these Bachelorette leads and what it takes to be onscreen and to hold your own on a show, and production and castmates. I have a lot of respect for those people. So I think I will show my support in that way.”
However, Andi does think each woman should have had her own season. She said, “I don’t really love the fact that two women have to share the screen. I think we’ve progressed a little further. It’s 2022. … I want each girl to have it for themselves. It is such an incredible thing.”
She found her dream guy
After a lot of searching, Andi found the man of her dreams. She met and fell in love with Blaine Hart. He popped the question to her in March and the couple can’t wait to wed.
In the meantime, Andi and Blaine are in the process of building a new home together. They’ve not said when their wedding will be.
