‘SW‘ Fans Piece Together Details Of Dayton Brown’s ATV Wreck
Dayton Brown is Robyn Brown’s oldest child from her first marriage. But Kody Brown later adopted Dayton and his sisters as his own children. Sister Wives fans really enjoyed watching Robyn’s older children integrate with the rest of the family. They may have different biological fathers, but they’re definitely part of the Brown family.
Dayton is one of the more quiet family members, so he’s not always on camera and doesn’t say much. But fans couldn’t help but notice that in the middle of a season, Dayton reappeared with a massive scar over his eye. Robyn later said he was in a very serious ATV accident that required a lot of surgery. However, not much more was said after that.
So what exactly happened? Reddit users think they may have established a timeline of events.
Dayton Brown’s accident left him with some serious facial scarring
Sister Wives didn’t really go into detail about the ATV accident. However, Robyn did confirm that an ATV accident was responsible for Dayton’s facial scarring.
But even so, fans remain a little confused about the timeline.
“Ok maybe I’m just dumb, but I’m so lost. Just started Season 7 ep 1, and it’s Dayton and Meri’s birthday and I noticed Dayton’s eye is swollen and he has a big scratch on his head,” the original Reddit poster wrote. “That was the first time I noticed it, but my husband said he noticed it during the Commitment Ceremony when they are taking group pics. I came here to find out what happened because I didn’t remember any mention of something happening to Dayton, and saw everyone saying he had been in an ATV accident while visiting his dad.”
The user went on to say that they heard a lot of things about the accident, but wasn’t sure what the truth was.
“The accident was much earlier in the timeline than the adoption,” another user added. “There is an episode where the family goes 4-wheeling and it’s fresh off Dayton’s accident.”
In that episode, Dayton is clearly traumatized and is afraid to be near the ATVs. But with some encouragement and support from Robyn, he manages to conquer his fear and ride again.
Later on, Dayton was eventually able to get plastic surgery to help him regain control over his eyelid. But the scar is probably going to be around forever.

Today, Dayton Brown is an adult and seems to be doing well in the aftermath of his accident. He was attending school in Arizona, but rumors say that he dropped out. Sister Wives fans may know more when the show returns for Season 17.

Nope. Kody Brown allowed him to be on the ATV without no training. Dayton ran into a fence which caused the injury. His bio dad had absolutely nothing to do with it. Kody and Robyn tried to pin the medical/surgery bill on him but he proved he wasn’t even there when it happened.
