Mama June Steals Pumpkin’s Big Moment With Shocking Announcement?
Mama June cannot let her daughter, Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird have the spotlight for twenty-four hours. Shortly after a source confirmed that Pumpkin welcomed twins, June stole her thunder. She has taken a huge leap and it is bound to shake up the family.
Mama June’s Bad History With Pumpkin
Viewers first met June Shannon and Pumpkin on Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Pumpkin, real name Lauryn, was just a tween. She was learning about herself and June tried to be as accommodating as possible. There was even a time when Pumpkin shared she was bisexual and was met with no judgment from her family. As time went on, the show was canceled and June underwent a dramatic transformation. Additionally, Pumpkin met and married Josh Efird and they started a life together. It was all perfect timing as June started dating Geno Doak and together, they went down a bad and dangerous road. It was filled with drugs and an eventual arrest.
Luckily, Pumpkin took her younger sister Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson in and raised her as one of her own. They have both been skeptical about letting Mama June back into their lives despite her going to rehab. She is sober and finally left Geno. Unfortunately, she went MIA when Pumpkin was in labor with her second child, son Bentley. This was something that was hard to forgive but June returned and was attempting to make amends. Yet she was still actively searching for a man and she seemed to have found one in Justin Stroud. They were recently seen looking at rings together. What would their future hold?
Stealing The Celebration
Part of the family’s future included another pregnancy for Pumpkin. A TMZ confirmed she was expecting twins shortly after Bentley arrived. Yesterday, a source close to the family confirmed that the twins had arrived early. Now, The Sun is sharing some more family news. Mama June has apparently married Justin Stroud. The twosome wed at a Georgia courthouse on March 23rd so technically she did this prior to the twins’ birth. Yet what took so long for the news to come out? Justin and June have been together for roughly a year but knew each other much longer.
“We’ve known each other going on a year now. We were best friends and we decided to take it to the next step in the last eight months,” June shared. She claims he is always really there for her and has helped “put the pieces back together.” No word if he will be featured on her series just yet but this should be interesting to see. Congrats to the Shannon/Efird family.
