Wendy Williams has requested a “meeting” with Sherri Shepherd. It’s unclear why she wants to meet with her future replacement. Sherri has a feeling that an “avalanche” of bad energy will come her way. On Wednesday, May 11, Wendy sent the following statement to The Sun.

“I have tons of support around me and I am working on projects. I would love the chance to actually speak with Sherri and sit down and meet.”

This comes after Wendy refused to acknowledge Sherri Shepherd’s new show. She has a feeling that Wendy is going to “flip out” when her show premieres in September 2022. Sherri’s already had “emergency meetings” with her team. They’re preparing themselves in case Wendy has a meltdown.

Over the weekend, Wendy took part in an Instagram live stream with Fat Joe. She said she won’t be checking out Sherri’s new show. She has more important things to do. What’s interesting is that it’ll likely be similar in format to The Wendy Williams Show, which was canceled in February 2022.

“I know what she’s going to be doing and that’s not really my thing,” the former TV host said.

Since then, Sherri Shepherd has been preparing herself for a daytime diva duel with the OG.

“Sherri and her team are expecting an avalanche of negativity from Wendy once her new show starts,” an insider told The Sun.

Wendy Williams is having a hard time swallowing her pride. Her rep Shawn Zanotti told The Sun that she doesn’t want to wish Sherri Shepherd well with her new venture. She accused the celebrity guest host of “health-shaming” her. Wendy’s rep says that Sherri should respect the TV icon since she’s provided her with these “opportunities” via her talk show.

Wendy’s attorney, LaShawn Thomas, even confirmed that she wants to have a sit-down conversation with Sherri Shepherd. She doesn’t want to battle it out. Wendy describes it as a “meeting of the minds.” She feels it’s “the perfect solution as she has no ill will or intent.”

Even though Wendy wants to return to her show, she’s received several podcast offers. Her new show could end up on iHeart Radio or Spotify. That means her fans will have to listen to her rather than watch her on television. Wendy could end up with a deal worth $100 million.
