Mike Fleiss teases another ‘historic’ announcement for the franchise

Mike Fleiss loves to make huge proclamations about the franchise he created. The Bachelor founder previously teased a ‘historic’ announcement ahead of ABC revealing a double-lead Bachelorette season.

Season 19 will premiere on ABC in early July. At least, that was the original plan. But Mike Fleiss’ latest tease about another historic announcement involving the franchise has fans wondering about where they can watch The Bachelorette.

Are Bachelor Nation shows leaving ABC?

On May 3, Mike Fleiss posted a cryptic tweet about a historic announcement coming soon. On Mother’s Day, May 8, he was back with another teaser – the impending announcement “has the potential to impact” The Bachelorette and Bachelor in Paradise.

Bachelor Nation fans took to his May 3rd tweet to speculate what the announcement could be. Several viewers guessed that the Bachelor Nation shows might be the next ABC program to move to the Disney + streaming service.

The network previously announced that Dancing With The Stars is moving from ABC to the streamer for Season 31 starting later this year, as well as Season 32.

While a two-season renewal is good news, many DWTS fans were upset with the move.

Now fans of the Bachelor franchise fear Bachelorette and BIP will no longer air on network television.

However, Fleiss’ May 8 tweet garnered new speculation about the coming announcement. Could former Bachelorette Tayshia Adams join Bachelor In Paradise for a second chance at love?

However, that wouldn’t be historic, as Becca Kufrin already made history during Season 7 as the first lead to join BIP.

What we know about Season 8 of Bachelor In Paradise

Regardless of where it airs, we do know that Season 8 of Bachelor In Paradise is coming sometime this summer.

Variety reports that popular beach bartender Wells Adams might take over hosting duties. However, Mike Fleiss also said that the network wants Bachelor host Jesse Palmer involved as well.

ABC has yet to announce which alums will hit the beach. Bachelor contestant Victoria Fuller is the latest rumored beachgoer. Stay tuned for more details on the ‘historic’ announcement.
