A man and a woman with the sun on their faces

Becca Kufrin’s BFF Caroline Lunny reveals why Thomas Jacobs is a better match for her than Garrett was. Plus, she spills tea on Arie Luyendyk’s Bachelor behavior. Keep reading for all the details.

Former Bachelorette Becca Kufrin finds love in unexpected way

Becca Kufrin didn’t have much luck with love during her runs on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette. Despite getting her heart broken several times, Kufrin joined Season 7 of Bachelor in Paradise. It was the first time in the show’s history that a former lead was a contestant on the beachy spin-off.

She quickly made a connection with Thomas Jacobs. However, her previous relationships made her uncertain of her future with Katie Thurston’s cast-off. Becca ultimately broke up with Jacobs rather than get engaged during the Season 7 finale.

However, they reconnected after filming ended and have been together ever since. Becca’s close friend Caroline Lunny recently shared her thoughts on the new romance.

Why Thomas Jacobs is a better match for Becca Kufrin than Garrett Yrigoyen

Caroline and Becca first met on Arie Luyendyk’s season of The Bachelor. They’ve remained close friends since filming Season 22 in 2018. Lunny was a recent guest on Us Weekly’s Here for the Right Reasons podcast. She shared her impression of Thomas.

She was clear that she has yet to meet her friend’s new boyfriend. However, she’s had several opportunities to judge his character. For one, she revealed that Jacobs sent a bottle of champagne to celebrate a milestone in Lunny’s real estate career.

At the time, she was undergoing egg retrieval surgery and Kufrin flew out to support her friend.

In another instance, Thomas Jacobs let Lunny know that he watched a Modern Fertility ad that used her in the promotion video. She told the outlet that she appreciated his support.

Caroline also mentioned Garrett Yrigoyen, who got engaged to Becca Kufrin during The Bachelorette season finale. The two split after two years together.

Lunny said that while she “loved” Garrett, Thomas Jacobs is a better match for Becca. Why? They’re both “very dorky and adorable in their own way.”

Furthermore, Kufrin “just seems a lot happier now.” Caroline Lunny briefly addressed what caused Becca to end her relationship with Garrett.

“At the end of the day … you can love somebody all you want, but there’s certain elements that are bigger than us and, like, kind of contribute to what we’re looking for in a life partner.” – Caroline Lunny, Here for the Right Reasons podcast.

Bachelor Nation fans have been waiting for Jacobs to pop the question to Kufrin.

The couple’s vacation ended on a sad note – Jacobs’ beloved dog Sofia passed away.

Bachelor alum Caroline Lunny dishes dirt on Arie Luyendyk

In addition to spilling the tea about Becca’s current romance, Caroline Lunny also had something to say about Arie Luyendyk. He proposed to Kufrin during the Season 22 finale. However, by the time the episode aired, he changed his mind. He broke up with Becca Kufrin on-camera so that he could reunite with runner-up Lauren Burnham.

According to Lunny, she heard about Arie’s plan to end his engagement to Becca before it happened. “He had been running his mouth to basically everyone who would listen,” she said of the former Bachelor.

However, she didn’t believe the gossip, so she didn’t warn her friend. She was there for Kufrin after the breakup, though. Becca Kufrin came over to her house and “we just had, basically, a ‘F—k Arie fest.’”
