Vannessa Cross keeps her current weight shrouded in mystery

Vannessa Cross is only one part of the 1000-Lb. Best Friends family. Her best friend, Meghan Crumpler, frequently posts weight loss journey photos. Meghan recently shared updated ID photos and it’s really clear how much weight she lost just by looking at her face.

However, it’s not so obvious with Vannessa. The TLC star does post on Instagram and share life updates with fans — but she almost never talks about her weight loss. So where is she really at with her own journey?

Vannessa Cross really hasn’t posted any full body images since 1000-Lb. Best Friends wrapped up. And she really hasn’t spoken much about it. In other words, we really don’t know how much weight she’s lost since her own journey began.

Towards the end of Season 1, we watched Vannessa really step up and commit to better lifestyle adjustments. She qualified for bariatric surgery and seemed determined to keep the weight off.

But if she isn’t speaking about her weight loss, there might be reasons for that. Some fans speculate that Vannessa fell back into her old habits since filming wrapped up and she doesn’t want to talk about it on social media. Others believe that she might have an NDA with TLC and they’re about to film Season 2.

Obviously, the latter explanation is much more positive. We also do know that Vannessa still sees Dr. Proctor, as indicated by her Instagram activity.

When is TLC going to renew 1000-Lb. Best Friends?

Unfortunately, TLC still hasn’t renewed 1000-Lb. Best Friends for a second season. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t coming. As we indicated above, Vannessa Cross may not be posting full-body shots due to the possibility of an NDA.

For now, we will just have to stand by and keep waiting for news of a future season. Its sister show, 1000-Lb. Sisters, also hasn’t been renewed yet. And it’s one of TLC’s highest-performing shows. Just be patient and check back with us for the time being.
