Does My 600-Lb. Life star Dr. Paradise have dwarfism?

Some My 600-Lb. Life fans suggest online that Dr. Paradise has dwarfism. However, according to Distractify, this isn’t quite true. No one is sure how tall Dr. Paradise is exactly, but it’s widely believed he is between 4’11” and 5’10”. The cut-off for being considered a little person is 4’10”.

So Dr. Paradise doesn’t have dwarfism — he’s just a very short man.

“Dr. Paradise is so small,” the original Reddit poster noted. “I never realized until a few episodes ago when I saw him next to the door in his office. Love that guy.”

The original poster included a screenshot of the show — and it’s immediately clear that Dr. Paradise is very short.

But his height doesn’t appear to bother him. In an older Reddit thread, the My 600-Lb. Life star even made jokes about his size.

“I am, in fact, travel size. People let out an audible sigh of relief when they sit next to me on airplanes,” the therapist wrote. “My size was an asset as a wrestler back in my school days, and I think it sometimes makes me more approachable to clients now. I think I also have a special appreciation for people who are perceived as physically different.”

In other words, he’s a perfect fit for being the therapist on My 600-Lb. Life.

Fans have very high opinions of Dr. Paradise

In the recent Reddit thread, other My 600-Lb. Life viewers had nothing but good things to say about Dr. Paradise.

“I love him. Just with the small edits we see on the show, I feel like he has really good convos with his clients in the parts we don’t get to see. I want him as my therapist :’),” wrote one fan.

“I agree. Even though his scenes still look obviously like edited condensations of a full session, the ‘excerpts’ seem like honest-to-God effective therapy, unlike the vapid platitudes of some of the other therapists (looking at you, Lola),” someone else wrote.

The general consensus seems to be that Dr. Paradise is willing to go above and beyond for the patients. Many My 600-Lb. Life stars have a lot of mental health struggles so he’s really an essential part of the show.
