‘When Calls The Heart’s’ Kevin McGarry Hints Nathan Could Have More Than One Romance
When Calls The Heart Season 9 is premiering on Sunday, March 6. At the very end of Season 8, the love triangle was officially over. Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) chose Lucas Bouchard (Chris McNally).
However, we didn’t get to see Nathan (Kevin McGarry). That means in Season 9, we will get his reaction to her choice. Moreover, Hearties also get to see if and how the beloved Mountie heals his heart and moves on.
The Wedding Veil’s Kevin McGarry talked about the upcoming season and a bit about his “flawed” character. What did he have to say about Nathan’s love life?
Kevin McGarry Hints Nathan Could Still Have Emotions About Elizabeth
When Calls The Heart star Kevin McGarry was recently on the Hallmark Happenings podcast. What everyone wants to know is if the heartbroken Mountie will find romance. First, he pointed out that it was “tough to have that kind of ending.”
However, he pointed out that all of these obstacles “made for good storytelling.” McGarry relishes putting his character through challenges and allowing this to give viewers more insights into his character.
Later, he pointed out that there are many possible bachelorettes for this heartbroken bachelor. Yet, Nathan may still be hurting. McGarry pointed out that “Elizabeth is still in town.” Then added, “Those feelings don’t just go away.”
When Calls The Heart Season 9 Newcomer Could Be Nathan’s New Romance
Already much has been said about Hope Valley’s newcomer, Mei Sou (Amanda Wong). There are many hints that there will be a big romance with her and the Mountie. The previews and the official WCTH poster shows Nathan and Mei in the background, with Elizabeth and Lucas front and center.
However, Kevin made a point of how Mei and Nathan could be thrown together in the first place. “Usually you don’t get a character that comes to town that doesn’t have some kind of secret or backstory. So, she’s no exception. She’s got something that’s the reason why she’s in town…” Then Kevin got a glint in his eye as he continued, “…maybe something she’s running from that might get her close to law enforcement in the town.”
Could Mei Sou be forced to tell Nathan what she is running from? Could they get closer because he is protecting her?
Nathan Could Start Romance With Newly Single Faith
Next, Kevin added a second possible romance for Nathan in When Calls The Heart Season 9. “As far as Faith (Andrea Brooks) and Nathan go…you know, the latest eligible bachelor and bachelorette of Hope Valley.”
They’re both first responders. So, you know that they kinda share a professional life that might bring them close together as well.

Could Kevin McGarry’s Real-Life Girlfriend Be When Calls The Heart Character’s Romantic Interest?
Finally, When Calls The Heart’s Kevin McGarry also shared a third possible romance for his character Nathan. He pointed out something very obvious that may become significant to the storyline.
You know that Nathan had a mustache at the beginning of the season, and it’s not there at the end. Somebody had to shave it off, and Fiona (Kayla Wallace) was a barber.
For those few Hearties who do not know, Kevin and Kayla are a real-life couple. They are co-starring as romantic interests in Hallmark’s March movie, Feeling Butterflies.

I hope that the love trilogy will become a series, then I won’t care about his love life on WCTH.
It would be interesting to see a tribology series, but if lacey is not the leading woman who’s going to watch? The wedding veil in my opinion was just ok! I felt that the male was clueless for too long about the veil. Lacy Chabert brought in the highest viewing audience 3.94 viewers. the second highest was my favorite Alison Sweeney & victor 2.95. Time will tell!
