Did you enjoy the Hallmark Channel’s Wedding Veil trilogy? This new connected movie trilogy stars Lacey Chabert (Mean Girls, Christmas Waltz), Autumn Reeser (Entourage, The 27-Hour Day), and Alison Sweeney (Days Of Our Lives, Open By Christmas).

This trilogy is about three college friends who all now live in different parts of the country. However, they meet once a year in a different part of the country to go antiquing. During a trip to San Francisco, the trio sees a beautiful antique veil. This veil comes with a legend. Whoever has the veil in their possession will meet their true love.

Each movie featured a different actress, with the other two in supporting roles. The first movie is The Wedding Veil, starring Lacey Chabert, along with Kevin McGarry (When Calls The Heart). The second movie is The Wedding Veil Unveiled, starring Autumn Reeser, with Paolo Bernardini (Lost & Found In Rome). The final movie is The Wedding Veil Legacy, starring Alison Sweeney and Victor Webster (Five Star Christmas).

Be aware, there are spoilers. Therefore, if you have not seen all three movies, you may not want to continue reading.

Reddit Poster Thinks That Hallmark Channel Will Make More Wedding Veil Movies

On the very active Hallmark Movies thread, a poster, Canadasaver, suggested that the Hallmark Channel will make more Wedding Veil movies next year. They wrote:

I watched Wedding Veil Legacy last night. At the end, the veil was returned to the women of the groom’s family. Earlier in the movie, he had indicated he had three sisters. We saw one at the restaurant and the other two were out of the country.

No mention was made of husbands for these three sisters. They have the veil now. Could it be we will be seeing these three sisters next February?

Many posters agreed. One commented, “They said if the legend is true they will be having 3 more weddings which would indicate the sisters are single and that Hallmark was leaving the door open to do more movies in the series.”

One commenter even made a suggestion. “I wish they would do a male version and use Tyler [Hynes], Paul [Greene or Campbell?] and Andrew [Walker] for it.

Sounds like the possibilities are endless. Could that happen?

The Wedding Veil Movies Are Huge Hallmark Success

The Hallmark Channel took a big leap of faith to make this trilogy about a magical wedding veil. Why would they want to do more? According to E! News, the ratings were astronomical for the feel-good network. In addition, they shared how the trilogy competed against the Olympic games. They did not even mention how cable ratings, in general, have diminished due to cord-cutting.

But the ratings for The Wedding Veil so far have proved its audience is willing to adapt with the network as it continues to evolve its storytelling. After its debut on Jan. 8, the first movie garnered 3.4 million viewers, making it the network’s most-watched non-holiday original movie premiere in over a decade. (Never underestimate the power of Chabert!) The Wedding Veil Unveiled also received a lot of RSVPs despite going up against the Olympics, becoming the highest-rated non-sports cable program on Feb. 12 with 2.59 million viewers.

The ratings for The Wedding Veil Legacy will be out soon, and that could certainly become the catalyst for more.
