Vasectomy Regrets? Lauren Burnham Luyendyk Not Sure About No More Kids
Already having regrets? Former Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. recently had a vasectomy. Now that it is all done, it seems that perhaps Lauren Burnham Lyendyk isn’t quite so sure it was the right move. Keep reading to find out what she had to say.
Lauren Burnham isn’t so sure she doesn’t want more kids
Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. had a vasectomy in January after he and wife Lauren Burnham decided it was the best move. She shared details that led to their decision including that she doesn’t handle hormonal birth control well.
It seemed like the right decision but now Lauren is having some mixed feelings. US Weekly shared what Lauren had to say. Lauren said, “I wasn’t necessarily ready to close that chapter yet just because, I know it’s hard right now [with three kids under 3], but once we’re out of this space, I might want another one.” She continued, “Who knows?”
Arie and Lauren currently have daughter Alessi who is 2 and twin, Senna and Lux who is now 8 months old. Lauren knows that should they decide to want more children they can always adopt or have the procedure reversed.
Arie weighed in on Lauren’s thoughts
The Bachelor who is now 40 says that this is the first time they have ever really felt their ten-year age gap. He said, “They’re reversible if we have some heartaches in five years’ time.” Arie continued, “This is the first time we’ve ever really felt an age gap. She’s 30, and I have a little bit of a different outlook. I want to be a younger dad. I’m not a young dad, but I don’t want to be an even older dad than I am know.”
Arie noted that in five years he will be 45 and he feels that may be past his prime to be actively involved with babies.
As of now, Arie is completely content with three babies. However, it doesn’t seem that Lauren is quite as sure.
Following Arie’s vasectomy, he and Lauren shared intimate details about the experience. Arie noted that he is resistant to local anesthesia and so he thinks he felt more of the procedure than he should have.
Lauren was on hand to watch the entire thing while trying to comfort Arie through it.
