‘RHONJ’: Gia Giudice Making Big Bucks, More Issues With Joe Gorga?
Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice’s daughter Gia Giudice’s presence in Season 12 has caused quite a stir in more ways than one. It appears that Gia is following in her mother Teresa’s footsteps when it comes to drama and money.
Gia’s alleged salary for her appearance on RHONJ has been reportedly leaked out by non-other than Kim DePaola according to Reality Blurb. Bravo fans all knew that Gia’s presence on the show was going to grow this season. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Gia revealed back in December that she was going to be taking a more active role on the hit reality series.
Gia Giudice Looking To Be The Next Teresa?
What no one knew until now was just how much Gia was making for her appearance. It seems that Kim D could not wait to spill the beans about Gia’s salary. During a podcast appearance, Kim revealed that she had read on one of the blogs that 21-year-old Gia was pocketing $50,000 this season.
“I read it in one of the blogs. And it said that one of the daughters which is Gia, you know, New Jersy Housewives, got $50,000. And that the husbands don’t get anything. So they were accusing Joe Gorga of finding out, and he was mad. I don’t know if it is true. Do you know what I mean? But that’s what I read.”
DePaola goes on to reveal that she agrees that Teresa’s daughter should be making money on the show. Not only because she is an adult, but she is also bringing the drama.
“Listen, Gia is 21 now, She is not a kid anymore. She’s a grown adult…She could write her own ticket. And I don’t blame her for wanting to get paid, Kim states.

“If they want Gia to keep doing what she is doing, why shouldn’t she be getting paid?”
But the real truth behind the RHONJ cast pay comes from Brian Moylan’s book, ‘The Housewives: The Real Story Behind the Real Housewives.”
Moylan’s book reveals that ‘RHONJ’ has a special carve-out in their contracts. They’re the only cast whose husbands ALSO are making money for appearing on the reality series. This is the reason why the husbands still film together even when the women are away on trips.
So even though Joe Giudice and the other men are getting paychecks, the amounts are unclear. Could Gia Giudice be making more money than Uncle Joe? Maybe, that is if Teresa has anything to do with it. When it comes down to it, Gia is looking to make her mark and strike while the iron is still hot. That means taking the family drama between herself and Joe Gorga as far as possible to pull in those big ratings.
Not only is Gia making a name for herself on RHONJ, but she also made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live as the guest bartender on the same episode with her mom Teresa earlier this month. During the episode host, Andy Cohen seemingly caught Teresa off guard by asking if she and Luis Ruelas were signing a prenup.

Teresa is noticeably surprised and quickly answers no. Andy revealed his shock and urged Teresa to reconsider that decision. Gia quickly rose to her mother’s defense asking Cohen”Why would she sign a prenup?” Gia went on to defend Teresa’s decision by explaining that her father Joe Giudice had made Teresa sign a prenup before their marriage.
Bravo fans are seemingly torn over Gia’s RHONJ drama with Joey Gorga, many agree with Joe claiming Gia was acting very disrespectful and bratty. They feel that Teresa should have put a fast stop to Gia’s tone with her uncle. Some fans claim that Gia is going too far not only with trying to prove she is grown but also overdoing the cosmetic surgeries.
“What 21-year-old girl needs to have cosmetic surgery. At this rate, Gia Giudice will be unrecognizable in 5 years. What a shame and a waste of her natural beauty” writes one commenter.
