The Masked Singer is already back after its Season 6 finale in December 2021. The show just started filming its seventh season. It’s set to make its premiere in March 2022. The popular FOX singing competition started teasing the upcoming season on its network.

At first, little was known about the current crop of contestants. However, panelists Robin Thicke and Ken Jeong may have blown up a shocking reveal after blowing their own tops. Leaks are uncommon and unheard of when it comes to this show. However, some of the reveals aren’t shocking when most fans know who’s under the mask.

However, this shocking reveal leaked on the internet on Wednesday, January 2. Read on to learn more.

Did Robin Thicke and Ken Jeong spoil the show?

According to new reports, Robin Thicke and Ken Jeong blew up at a shocking Masked Singer reveal. They walked off the stage when Rudy Giuliani made an appearance at a taping. The Masked Singer judged stormed off the set in protest. It’s unclear which masked costume Giuliani wore.

Apparently, he was revealed as a mystery singer and he didn’t last on the show long. The taping took place during the first episode of the show’s seventh season. Giuliani was the first person eliminated. So, this means that the shocking reveal was spoiled before the Season 7 premiere of The Masked Singer.

Insiders told TMZ that as soon as the mask came off, Thicke and Jeong were upset. They immediately walked off the set. Meanwhile, Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger stayed behind and playfully bantered with him. Per Deadline, their fellow judges protested against the politician. Giuliani was former President Donald Trump’s attorney and advisor.

His reveal also came as a shock to the audience. It’s likely that most of them didn’t guess that it was Giuliani under the mask. It’s probably the most shocking reveal in The Masked Singer history. However, it was spoiled long before the Season 7 premiere. This comes after Republican politician Sarah Palin was unmasked as The Bear. That revealing aired at the height of the 2020 coronavirus pandemic.

The Masked Singer Season 7: What else to expect

Despite this shocking reveal, The Masked Singer Season 7 will resume filming. The show is set to return on March 9, 2022. Filming for the seventh season started on January 26 and will end on February 5. There is no other news on who else is included with this season’s crop of contestants.

Unfortunately, there is also no information about the new masks for Season 7 of The Masked Singer. Sometimes the promos are nothing to go by since they don’t feature the same masks as the same season. It’s also unknown how this season will play out and if any wildcard contestants will return after appearing on Seasons 5 and 6.

As you can see, keeping the identities of the contestants is one of the hardest parts of The Masked Singer. Executive producer Craig Plestis told the Fox Entertainment panel at Deadline’s Contenders Television virtual event that sometimes people will “spy and get in with cameras on set.” Because of this, there is plenty of security during the tapings. At the time of this article, there is no footage of Thicke and Jeong walking off.

The Masked Singer Season 7 premieres on Wednesday, March 9 at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.
