Ashley Iaconetti & Jared Haibon Change Baby Name After Birth
Bachelor in Paradise fan-favorite couple Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon just welcomed their first child into the world. They announced recently what they were going to name him. Now that he’s here, Ashley and Jared made an adjustment to his name and changed it up a bit. Keep reading to find out more about why they changed his name and what it is now.
Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon change son’s name after birth
Ashley Iaconetti Haibon went to Instagram to share some first photos of their son. He was born on January 31. She shared that their baby came into the world on a very special day for their family. It happened to be her mom’s birthday. Plus, it also happened to be the day her parents met 44 years ago.
Ashley also said that she is forever indebted to the hospital staff for such a wonderful labor and delivery. Giving birth is something she has feared for a long time and she admits it wasn’t that bad. She said she’d share the whole story soon.
Now, as for his name, Ashley and Jared had announced his name would be Dawson. That has not changed. However, a part of his name did change.
Ashley said, “Right now we’re enjoying the sleepiest, calmest baby we’ve ever met. Dawson did not get his chill from his parents. He did get his feet from me, his chin from Jared, one of his names from a Leo character, and another one of his names from, well, see Jared’s IG caption. We love him so much and are feeling so blessed!!”
Moving on over to Jared’s Instagram, fans will see that he shared a precious photo of himself holding Dawson. He said, “Meet Dawson Dimitri Brady Haibon.” Yep after Ashley jokingly said they could not have their son on the same day Brady retired and that they wouldn’t name him after Tom Brady, part of that did happen after all.
Luckily, Brady didn’t announce his retirement officially until February 1. However, Ashley did finally agree to let Jared honor his hero in their son’s name.
Their plans for the time being
Ashley also revealed that she wanted to give birth at the hospital her father works at. So, she went home to Virginia to stay with her parents. Jared was commuting back and forth so he could continue to work at their new coffee shop. Luckily, he was there a few days before Dawson made his debut.
Now, Ashley and Dawson will continue to stay with her parents for a while since the baby will have doctor’s appointments. Jared will continue to commute back and forth.
Their son is absolutely adorable. Congrats to Ashley and Jared!
