In the first movie, the three friends, Avery (Chabert), Emma (Reeser), and Tracy (Sweeney) go to San Francisco to go antiquing. The three pals make this an annual trip, but choose different cities to participate in their antiquing passion.
There, they find a beautiful wedding veil that has a bit of a mystery attached to it. The person who has the veil will find love.
Avery, the romantic, is the first to take the veil with her. The man she encounters is Peter (McGarry) who she connects with, but somehow he becomes suspicious of her.
When she returns to Boston, and her job as an assistant curator at an art museum, she finds she has to work with Peter. Turns out, there is a mystery to solve. There is a painting in the basement of the museum that looks to be a lost masterpiece.
As they work together, the veil seems to be working its magic. But, what do we know about the veil?
