New Couple Alert: Did Hallmark Movie Bring ‘Vampire Diaries’ Costars Together?
Did Hallmark play Cupid once again? Vampire Diaries alum Arielle Kebbel and Zach Roerig have officially announced their they are dating. Did starring in a romcom set in the Smoky Mountains lead to love? Here is what we know now.
Vampire Diaries Costars Arielle Kebbel And Zach Roerig Are Dating
On Monday, the news came out that the Hallmark stars of Love In The Great Smoky Mountains: A National Park Romance stars made their romance official at a Vampire Diaries fan convention. One fan shared a video of Zach Roerig gallantly presenting flowers to a happily surprised Arielle Kebbel. The Rescue Hi-Surf star was at a meet and greet table, surrounded by fans who swooned when they saw the couple kiss after the surprise flower presentation.
Once the video went viral, Arielle commented with numerous heart emojis. The couple may not have publicly announced they are dating, but that heart-filled comment certainly confirmed it.

As for the flowers and lingering kiss, this was the first indication that Arielle and Zach were a couple! Although they both starred in Vampire Diaries, their characters were not romantically involved. Back in the day, Zach did have a romance with his Vampire Diaries costar Candace King. Both were on the series for the entire eight seasons. Roerig wound up with someone else, Alana Turner, became a father in 2011 and gained full custody of their daughter after his ex was incarcerated.
Meanwhile, Arielle was only in a handful of episodes in the series. She did a cornucopia of projects including 9-1-1 and of course, the fan-favorite Christmas movie A Bride For Christmas, with Andrew Walker.
Therefore, it seems even more likely that the two found quite a spark when filming the 2023 Hallmark romance. However, neither indicated how their love story began. But, the photos from the movie are fire! So, we are going to guess this was Hallmark matchmaking.

However, does she still trust him after what happened years ago that led to their breakup?

Hallmark Is Where Many Actors Find Love
Hallmark movies seem to be the place where actors find their true love. For example, Kayla Wallace and Kevin McGarry met on the When Calls The Heart set. Last year, the couple got married. In addition, Erin Krakow and Ben Rosenbaum also met on the Hope Valley set. Nearly a decade ago, Chris McNally and Julie Gonzalo met on the set of The Sweetest Heart. Now, the couple has a young daughter.
With all the reality series that the network is developing, it seems natural that they make a series about their matchmaking skills.
