Hallmark+ Adds Four British Cozy Mystery Series: All The Details

Hallmark+ has brought the British Mysteries Collection for April streaming. That is four cozy mystery series that are new to the streamer, but may not be new to Anglophiles. The four series include Rosemary & Thyme, The Moonstone, Shakespeare & Hathaway, and The Coroner. Here are all the details Sleuthers need to know.

Rosemary & Thyme Streaming On Hallmark+ Now

The first cozy mystery is a fan-favorite. This is called Rosemary & Thyme, which stars Pam Ferris and Felicity Kendal. According to IMDb, “Set amongst the stunning gardens of Europe, Rosemary Boxer and Laura Thyme, two professional gardeners, find themselves drawn into solving mysterious crimes.” Although both are gardeners, Laura is a former police officer. Therefore, she knows the rules and follows them. She had quit when she married. However, her clever son is an officer and often participates in their investigations.

This series premiered in 2003, and it is three seasons long. Hallmark+ offers all three seasons.

The Moonstone Based On Wilkie Collin’s Early Detective Story

Next, Hallmark+ has already started streaming the limited series The Moonstone. This five-episode Victorian-era series stars Josh Silver, Leo Wringler, Terenia Edwards, and more. “A diamond goes missing after a party at an English country house, and numerous suspects have a motive for its disappearance.”

Wilkie Collins wrote The Moonstone in 1868, and it is considered the first true detective novel. The twists and turns of this story are the blueprint for modern mystery stories. This is the OG for Sleuthers

Hallmark+ Premiering First Two Seasons Of Shakespeare & Hathaway

One of the most anticipated Hallmark+ offerings in the British Mystery Collection is Shakespeare & Hathaway. This entertaining series stars Jo Joyner and Mark Benton, as well as Patrick Walshe McBride. “An oddball couple of private detectives named Luella Shakespeare and Frank Hathaway investigate crime in Stratford-upon-Avon.” Frank is a former police officer who left in questionable circumstances. Most of all, the two leads are romantically linked. This is a really fun buddy series.

The network will stream the first two seasons of the BBC Mystery series starting on Thursday, April 17. It should be noted that they recently filmed the fifth season of the series after a three-year hiatus. Therefore, Sleuthers who enjoy this series can find more on BritBox.

The Coroner Is Fourth British Mystery Series Airing On Hallmark+

Lastly, The Coroner starring Claire Goose and Matt Bardock will start streaming on Hallmark+ starting Thursday, April 24. “A solicitor returns to the seaside town she left as a teenager to take up the post of coroner, becoming an advocate for the dead as she investigates sudden, violent or unexplained deaths.”

This series is more of a traditional British crime drama. This series first premiered in 2015, and there are two seasons with a total of 20 episodes available to stream.
