‘My 600-Lb. Life:’ Dr. Now Like You’ve NEVER Seen Him Before
Dr. Younan Nowzaradan (or Dr. Now for short) is a small Iranian man who specializes in vascular surgery and bariatric surgery. He is best known as TLC’s doctor for the long-standing series My 600-Lb. Life. Believe it or not, Dr. Now’s appearance has changed a lot over the years.
Dr. Now’s transformation — like you’ve never seen him before
At 77 years old, Dr. Now is recognized by the deep age lines and sagging skin on his face. His dark, thick, and bushy eyebrows. And, his dark — slowly graying and receding — short hair on top of his head. The doctor always has a pair of glasses on his face and he tends to rock a serious expression on his face as he works hard to cut the constant bullsh*t in his exam rooms.
As he’s aged over the years, the appearance of Dr. Now has changed pretty drastically. In fact, he was once a young, handsome, and strapping man. There was even a period of time where he rocked scrubs and a serious mustache on his face! TvShowsAce has done some digging into the doctor’s past. Does the TLC personality have a family?
Those who watch My 600-Lb. Life know a fair amount about his professional career, but they don’t always know much about his personal life. Turns out, the great TLC doctor has had a fair amount of drama in his personal life. Dr. Now got married to his wife Delores back in 1975. She was a secretary when they got married. Delores, however, had to shift gears and become a housewife after marrying Dr. Now. She spent a little over two decades taking care of Dr. Now’s mother while she lived with them. Dr, Now and his wife also had three beautiful children together named Jonathan, Jennifer, and Jessica.
According to Celebs Info, Dr. Now and his wife were married just shy of 30 years before getting a divorce in 2002. The divorce paperwork did not paint the good doctor in the best light. The paperwork certainly didn’t describe the caring and compassionate man that strives to change the lives of his patients. In her divorce paperwork, Delores described her husband as an unsupportive and cruel man. Reverting to her surname, she now goes by Delores McRedmond. Unfortunately, not a lot is known about Dr. Now’s ex-wife. This includes whether she is even still alive.

Standing next to cast members of My 600-Lb. Life, Dr. Now often looks like a very tiny man. Unfortunately, reports of his height have him standing anywhere from 5.5 feet tall and 5.9 feet tall. So, it is unclear how tall the doctor is. He, however, is often described by fans as adorable. Some My 600-Lb. Life fans even find him sexy because of his intelligence and blunt honesty.
Over the years, Dr. Younan Nowzaradan has also been the victim of many death hoaxes. Being nearly 80-years-old, fans are on edge every time a rumor floats that Dr. Now is dead. Fans know that despite taking great care of himself, Dr. Now will eventually die of old age and natural causes.
