Netflix Original Series ‘Ozark’ Season 4: Release Date, Trailer
Season 4 of the Netflix Original series Ozark has finally wrapped production. A first look at the season was revealed at the recent TUDUM event. Set to premiere in 2022, the fourth season of the original drama series is much-awaited by fans. In fact, the series is one of the biggest and best-watched titles on the streaming channel of all time.
Season 4 of the Netflix Original series Ozark
Created by Bill Dubuque and Mark Williams, the first season of Ozark was launched in the summer of 2017. While it has been constantly compared to Breaking Bad, the series has gone on to cement its own identity and popularity. In fact, the series has attracted 32 Emmy nominations to date.
The first look of Season 4 was revealed at the Netflix Global TUDUM event on September 25, with a teaser trailer. The teaser gave a hint at what happens to the Byrdes since that climactic ending of Season 3. However, it was also revealed that the fourth season of Ozark will not arrive on Netflix in 2021, but in 2022.
About Season 4 of the crime drama series
As mentioned, Season 4 will be the final season of the Netflix Original series and will be released in two halves. Each half of the season will have seven episodes. While we do have to wait until 2022, the good news is that filming wrapped on Season 4 in October 2021.
Prior to the announcement of the fourth season of Ozark, Collider interviewed Jason Bateman where he revealed some interesting facts. He said that each episode took around eleven days to film, with the prior two weeks spent doing prep. In fact, it takes around six months to film an entire season of Ozark.

Cast of Ozark Season 4
Jason Bateman and Laura Linney reprise their roles as Marty and Wendy Byrde. Sofia Hublitz and Skylar Gaertner return as their children, Charlotte and Jonah Byrde. Meanwhile, Julia Garner will be back as Ruth Langmore, Lisa Emery as Darlene Snell and Charlie Tahan as Wyatt Langmore. Also, Carson Holmes returns as Three Langmore and Jessica Frances Dukes as Special Agent Maya Miller. Felix Solis will be back in Season 4 of the Netflix Original series as Omar Navarro.
The final season of Ozark also features several new cast members. Alfonso Herrera (The Exorcist) will star as Javi Elizonndro, Adam Rothenberg (Ripper Street) as Mel Sattem and Felix Solid (Charmed) as Omar Navarro. Also, Damian Young (Homeland) plays Jim Rettelsdorf and Bruno Bichir (Narcos) is Navarro’s Priest. Meanwhile, CC Castillo (Outer Banks) is in the role of Sheriff Leigh Guerrero and Katrina Lenk (The Band’s Visit) plays Clare Shaw, CEO of a pharmaceutical company.
Release date for the Netflix Original series
So far, Netflix has not revealed an official release date for Season 4 of Ozark. While previous seasons have had around 19 months between them, this season might be a little earlier. It is probably best to bank on an early 2022 release for the first half of Season 4.
Also, the IMDb page for the crime drama lists 2022 as a release date for the fourth and final outing, so that’s the way it goes. Meanwhile, the title of the first episode of Ozark Season 4 is an ominous “The Beginning of the End.”
