‘Welcome to Plathville’ Family Divided Into 3 Households In Season 2 Trailer

Welcome to Pathville, YouTube

In case you haven’t heard the Plath family will be back for the second season of TLC’s Welcome to Plathville. And this time around there is even more drama and division within the household.

Drama in Plathville

In a trailer for the newest upcoming season, the Plath family reveal so many secrets! Kim and Barry Plath are the first to share the big news that they have moved off their farm and into a house in town. A house that is suspiciously close to their eldest son, Ethan, and his wife, Olivia.

According to People, who first shared the trailer, the Plath family is actually split up into three different households.

Ethan and his wife Olivia are no longer the only ones in the Plath clan with their own place. Teens Micah and Moriah are also enjoying life living out on their own.

Micah is now in full pursuit of his modeling career, while Moriah is working two jobs. She works as both a fitness instructor and a mechanic. Additionally, Moriah is dating her first boyfriend! Her parents must be having heart attacks!

Finally, Micah goes on to reveal he is no longer allowed to see his younger siblings without supervision because of his “lifestyle” choices, just like what happened to their oldest brother Ethan after he married Olivia.

Who are the Plaths?

The Plaths are a big family from a rural part of southern Georgia. The family consists of 11 members, two parents, and nine children. Kim and Berry are parents to Ethan, 22, Micah, 19, Moriah, 18, Lydia, 16, Isaac, 14, Amber, 11, Cassia, 9, and Mercy, 7.

Additionally, the couple has another daughter Hosanna, 21, a violinist who tours full-time with her pianist husband Timothy Nobel. She did not make an appearance in Season 1 and it is uncertain if she will in Season 2.

Overall, what makes this large southern family so unique is the lengths their parents have gone to keep their lives simple. They’ve forced the children to refrain from 21st-century technologies and many sugary foods. The parents claim their goal was to fill their family with traditional values and beliefs.

Most of the older Plath children have finally gone about their newfound rebellious ways, with the exception of Lydia. She is now the oldest child living at home with their parents. The 16-year-old is featured at the end of the Season 2 trailer getting down on her knees to pray. She does not appear to understand why the older children want to be away from the family and she just prays for help for her family.
