’90 Day Fiance’ Star Colt Admits His Mom Debbie Must Stop Interfering In His Love Life

Fans will remember the latest episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? when Jess finally dumped Colt. This was after she had discovered he had been texting eight other women and sending them d**k pics. On top of this, she hates the fact Vanessa has moved in with Colt and his mom, Debbie. Since their trip to Brazil, Jess has accused Colt of being more than a friend with Vanessa. After their trip turned out so bad, Colt invited Jess to visit him in Las Vegas, which turned out to be a huge mistake.

90 Day Fiance stars Colt and Jess

When Colt Johnson met Jess Caroline in Chicago, they really hit it off. The pair appeared to have perfect chemistry. However, her friends were skeptical, firstly because Colt hadn’t told his mom, Debbie, about her. Secondly, they were also concerned about the fact that Colt still lives with his mom.

Colt hadn’t told Debbie about Jess because he knew his mom would be skeptical about him dating another Brazilian woman. This is after the problems he had with his former wife, Larissa Dos Santos Lima. However, he did eventually tell her and she traveled with him and Jess to Brazil.

Debbie is not happy with how fast Colt and Jess’s relationship seems to be going while they had dinner with Jess’s family. For her part, Jess got mad back at the hotel when Debbie “inadvertently” revealed that Vanessa was caring for the family cats. Jess has been jealous of Vanessa all along, even though Colt swears they are just friends. She ends up storming off from their hotel, saying she would sleep with her former boyfriend.

Colt invites Jess to visit him in Las Vegas, which turned out to be a huge mistake and led to their breakup.

Colt’s mom Debbie interferes too much

It turns out Colt has finally come to the end with his mother, Debbie, always sticking her nose into all his relationships. As with Vanessa and the cats, she keeps dropping bombs, upsetting his girlfriends. In a sneak peek for the upcoming episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? he speaks about this with his friend, Steve.

As noted by The Blast, Steve says to Colt, “I know Debbie really comes from a good place in her heart, she has the best of intentions.” However, he continued, saying, “But sadly, her interfering in these relationships is putting a lot of undue pressure and stress on Colt.”

90 Day Fiance fans could have told Colt this all along, but it seems to have finally sunken into his brain. Colt now agrees with his friend that Debbie should not be so involved in his relationships. He says Debbie must now take a back seat when it comes to his relationships. While Colt knows his mother cares for him, he realizes now is the time to make that change.

In a confessional, Colt tells the producers, “My mother loves me very much, but I think she just never wants to lose me.” He continued, saying he needs her to be “less involved” in his relationships. While he thinks it is very difficult to break a pattern, he believes the only way he can move forward is without her interference in his relationships.
