‘Married At First Sight’ Problems As Amelia Loves To Move Around But Bennett Wants To Stay Settled
Fans of Married at First Sight all seem to agree. Bennett and Amelia are a great match. The fact they had met before and had been attracted to each other obviously helps, too. However, there are some major differences between the pair. One is that Amelia is longing to have children, but Bennett doesn’t believe in having biological kids. He would rather adopt. Another major problem is Amelia’s wanderlust. She needs to move every few years, while Bennett has his roots right at home.
Married at First Sight stars Amelia and Bennett
The Married at First Sight experts have paired two of the quirkiest and cute singles in New Orleans. They had met before and Bennett particularly was attracted to Amelia. Imagine his surprise when she is his arranged wife! They are likely the most compatible couple ever on the Lifetime Channel reality show.
Seriously, watch them in this clip from the show and it is like they have known each other for years! They are enjoying life together so much! However, there might be a small bull in the proverbial china shop.

Amelia has recently graduated from medical school, while Bennett is a theater company director who has several odd jobs. Both decided to enter the Married at First Sight experiment to find their one true love. It looks like it could work out for them. They are both free, fun-loving personalities and appear to be perfectly matched.
Amelia and her desire for children
However, during their family meetings, some problems crop up. Amelia has always wanted to have children and is taken aback when Bennett’s sister reveals he doesn’t want biological kids. He apparently believes this is a morally poor decision. The reason? There are millions of children in the world looking for adoption.
Bennett and Amelia have since discussed the problem with children and have agreed they will cross that bridge when they come to it.
Married at First Sight’s Bennett and staying home
As for Bennett, he is shocked while lunching with Amelia’s mom. This is when she asks him if he is willing to move for Amelia’s residency. Meanwhile, he would prefer to stay right at home in New Orleans. This could be a major problem in their new marriage.
During their honeymoon in Mexico, the couple is playing a life-sized chess match. While playing, Amelia brings up the fact that she never stays in one place long. In fact, on average, she moves every couple of years. On Bennett’s side, he has ties to the community and has grown deep roots in his home city. Bennett is concerned when Amelia admits to ending several relationships due to her transient lifestyle.
When Bennett asks her if she would be willing to settle down once she lands a job. Amelia doesn’t give him an answer. When it comes to medical students, it is rare for them to land a spot in an undergraduate program. They are unlikely to attend medical school and get residency and a staff position in one city.
On Bennett’s side, he hasn’t moved around much and has no experience of the stress that comes from starting over in a new city. He has plans of growing his theater and music career, which likely can’t happen is he is constantly moving around the country with his new wife.
Married at First Sight relationship of Bennett and Amelia
Besides Bennett and Amelia’s differing lifestyles, there don’t appear to be any major concerns over the longevity of their relationship. As noted by Screen Rant, the experts had noted the differences between their career aspirations could be a problem. However, fans are hoping their otherwise wonderful compatibility can carry them through.
