90 Day Fiancé stars Deavan and Jihoon and money

In the recent episode of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Deavan, 23, and Jihoon, 29, have a major fight over money. Deavan has had enough of her husband’s lies about employment and money since she landed in Seoul. She even blamed Jihoon for scamming her. The Korean ended up admitting he spent most of his money on outings with his friends. However, he did put $3,000 in his mother’s savings account towards a future home.

Deavan got so angry over the whole deal, as well as difficulties between her, Jihoon and her in-laws. This included the famous translation gadget, where what they were saying was literally lost in translation. After threatening to return to America, Deavan asks Jihoon to prove how serious he really is. She asks him to withdraw the $3,000 from his mom’s account. Off goes the 90 Day Fiancé star and his mother to an ATM, where they withdrew the cash. Jihoon then handed it over to Deavan.

Fans found Deavan’s actions to be embarrassing, which led to her having to explain her behavior. She posted an Instagram story giving a breakdown of everything she has spent on her Korean husband so far.

However, Deavan did also write that the ATM incident wasn’t just about Jihoon’s money. As noted by Screen Rant, she wanted proof that he had actually saved some. Deavan went on to stress that she makes her own money and always has. This was all about whether Jihoon had actually done the things he said he had.

This latter was relating to the lies Jihoon told her about having a job, just to get her to fly to South Korea. Among the things she was told was that Jihoon speaks English and has two jobs. He also told her he had finished college and had saved $20,000 for a house. Jihoon told her he has a lot of money. All these statements were lies and the withdrawal request wasn’t about money – she wanted proof that the 90 Day Fiancé star hadn’t lied to her again.
