As noted by E! News, Laura speaks to the TLC cameras from her beachfront condo in Ecuador. She says she wanted to get away from everything by moving to the South American country. The 90 Day Fiancé reality star takes us on a virtual tour of her low-rent, three-bedroom condo. As she reveals her stunning beach views, it doesn’t look a bad place to be in.
At first, Laura spends her days swimming and sun tanning. She spends plenty of quality time with other Canadian ex-pats. Laura says it truly was a paradise to her, at least until now. Of course, with the current coronavirus pandemic affecting the world, things have changed. The 90 Day Fiancé star and her fellow ex-pats are now stuck in their homes, unable to return to Canada.
Laura was planning to return home
The TLC reality star explains that before this happened, her visa was getting close to its expiration date. This meant Laura has to prepare for heading back home to Canada. She does admit she is really missing her family. In fact, she had already booked an airline ticket. Meanwhile, three days before the date of her flight, Ecuador’s borders and airports were closed.
Basically, Laura’s planned six-month stay in Ecuador has now been extended for an indefinite period. She says she has basically become a prisoner in her own home. While she does admit it is a “pretty prison,” that doesn’t really help much.
Fans must bear in mind, Laura recently admitted to having a new, young, and gorgeous online beau in California. This fact might be making her even more impatient to return home. Read all about 25-year-old Tony, the dental student, in this article.
