‘Blind Frog Ranch’ Was Season 4 A Finale Or Cliffhanger?

The fourth season of Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch has recently come to an end. Fans have already turned to social media to discuss what’s next. In fact, some think the end is really just the first half of what’s to come.
The Search For The Keyhole Chamber Continues Into The Fourth Season Finale
Mystery at Blind Frog Ranch revolves around Duane Ollinger who looks for treasure at the title ranch after investing all he’s had. Duane, his son Chad, and their team look into underground caverns. All the while, a curse is rumored to haunt the area.
Fans of the series are known for their discussions online, from what parts of the show are genuine to the well-being of the series’ stars. Recently, the series aired its fourth season finale and it’s already gotten fans talking.

According to IMDB, the fourth season finale, “Underwater Kingdom,” aired on January 15, 2025. The following synopsis was given:
“A hidden cave entrance below a lake could finally lead the team to the Keyhole Chamber. After training in Florida with the best cave divers in the world, Chad navigates a deadly maze of flooded tunnels and makes a shocking discovery.”
Mystery At Blind Frog Ranch Fans Were Already Concerned About The Finale
On the show’s Reddit page, one fan shared their concerns after the season finale aired. As they wrote, “Why the hell is the season over already? 8 episodes? Wtf?”
Didn’t accomplish a damn thing from what they’ve shown. Half the episode watching Chad train for cave diving and just a few minutes of action in the form of overhyped drama. And a teaser. Trying hard to stay liking this show but, damn…”

As previously reported, even before airing, fans were already concerned about the fourth season’s finale, with some fans feeling the season was ending too early. At the time, however, it was acknowledged that the fourth season had eight episodes, the same amount that the second and third seasons had.
However, another recent question came up in the comments for the more recent post. Some fans suspect the finale is actually a cliffhanger. In other words, it is meant to tease at what is to come.
One fan even pointed out the series likely already has more episodes filmed for practical reasons. Some of these comments included:
- “The end credit scenes actually show segments of the next several (8?) episodes… Give the network time to fit them back into rotation. :)”
- “They clearly had to have more filmed. I was not even close to winter or anything.”
- “I agree it is confusing. Maybe it was intended to be a cliffhanger? Not sure if it’s an extension of season 4, or will be titled as season 5.”
- “Those under water film crew are crazy mother effers! Looks like they’re back to drilling again.”

The whole season 4 was just drawn out horse crap and could have fit into ONE episode! Getting tired of it already.
Agree 100%
Getting as bad as Oak Island. History lessons and flashbacks.
Complete BS.
Does anyone know how Mr. Ollinger came to be able to buy that land? It just seems so much history and so many trying to get to the treasure that it would have already been bought by someone earlier, like the moromons
Why even start these shows when u get interested in it and they take them off. there was one called Snake Island, it was the same way.
I’m tired of getting left high and dry, by these shows that I don’t know if they will continue or that’s it! I hope we will see a season 5 ASAP.
Suppose this season was better than the peril involved in saving the JCB?
I just started watching it. Don’t know what season it is. They have an 80′ dry entrance. Last night (on the show), their security shack was broken into while they were buffaloed at the gate. I know that it’s a TV show, but the lack of security and their false bravado is off putting. I like Duane, but his lack of preparation is ridiculous. Standing in front of those landing lights without backup farther behind them is stupid. If I had as much invested as Duane, I would have more security.
People are too stupid for this… it’s a show… it’s following the cast in what they are doing… but I mean be serious… it’s also semi staged like every reality show… I mean get a grip… you can’t expect them to film everything that’s done and have it be entertaining… no… what they do is preplanned before it’s even done. Granted they don’t know what outcome will come from the drilling/digging and this and that, but that’s also why they shoot the next part on a new day… it’s all pre-planned out. The plus side to this show is that it seems most if not all of it is unscripted… but they also do pre-plan all events before shooting. Including even what supplies to need to gather for their next task they are trying to do… that’s why the rat hole drill is always instantly available (except they hire it from a company)… and how they magically had the containment suits right after they found the hole with the radiation (that would have taken days to acquire). Then people ask… but why does 1 fall/summer/spring season only last like 6-8 episodes. That’s because there is a lot of planning and preparing between episodes.
