Drew Barrymore Working Hard On Giving Her Guests Something Vital
Drew Barrymore is working on giving her guests something vital when they appear on her talk show. She is getting ready to start her fifth season and there is one issue the actress needs to work on. So, what exactly does she need to fix for her guests’ sake? Keep reading for the details on what Drew plans on improving.
Drew Barrymore Working Hard On Giving Her Guests Something Vital
The one thing fans love about Drew Barrymore is how excited she gets about everything. She is always happy and thrilled, over the moon when she meets any and everyone on her talk show. Drew will hug and snuggle up to her guests which can be invasive for some while others are completely fine with it. Viewers who watch have noticed that she lacks personal space and does not allow her guests a chance to breathe. Not everyone who comes on likes that but may be too polite to say anything.
Now, the mother of two has plans to work on this and give her guests something vital. She is giving them personal space. According to Variety, this is an issue she is going to be working on moving forward. The new season of her hit talk show begins in September 2024 and has been renewed for a sixth season, as well. She knows that she can be a little too close for comfort but is speaking up regarding what she will be doing about this:
“Well, I’ll try to practice physical distance, which is not my strong point. Do you know how hard the pandemic was for me? I was alone in a studio by myself! I like to be around people!”
It is very clear The Wedding Singer star is a people person and loves the social atmosphere. So, this is just who she is at the end of the day. However, again, not everyone likes close contact and she understands this. She also added that physical touch isn’t “everyone’s favorite, but I’m sorry to those people.” The one thing Drew Barrymore does bring up a few times is how her show began in a pandemic. That seemed to affect her and her approach greatly.
Trying Times
Due to the pandemic, which either halted shows or did not allow live audiences, it was very difficult, especially for social people. There was a six-foot mandate and Drew Barrymore noted her talk show launched during this trying and uncertain time in the world. Despite that and what she has since learned, she wants to keep her show lighthearted and happy:
“I think that, first of all, we’re always gonna be big on joy and laughter and feeling good, and that was something I always wanted to do. But I never thought we would launch in a pandemic, and trying to lean into the joy and the feel good and the comedy at that time was real weird and wacky.”
As for whether or not guests will miss Drew’s very hands-on approach is yet to be seen. She may need to consult them prior to them coming out. Either way, it is her zest and excitement for life and people that keep the show alive and running.
Do you agree that Drew needs to not be so on top of her guests or is that a part of her charm? Let us know and watch The Drew Barrymore Show on weekdays.
