‘AGT’ Sofia Vergara Blasts Act As ‘Plain Masochism’
On America’s Got Talent, there are several great acts that all four judges agree on. There are other acts that none of the judges liked. However, one act this week on the show got three yes votes to move on. However, Sofia Vergara hated it and buzzed for it to end early before realizing the other judges actually liked it.
Here is the act that Sofia said was “plain masochism.”
Sofia Vergara Disgusted By America’s Got Talent Audition
The America’s Got Talent audition was Nasty the Horse, and his act was Jackass-styled self-torture. It started with him dipping his face in hot sauce, and then he started having the people working with him launch various things into his groin. Sofia was not amused and hit the buzzer to stop the performance.
During the entire act, until she hit the buzzer, the cameras saw her giving them a sour expression. She had no idea what was happening, and she hated every minute of it. When they dropped a bike on his crotch, Sofia had enough. That is what she said when she got a chance to talk to the man called Horse.
She seemed shocked that he was a teacher (of parkour), and she didn’t want to watch any more of the act. When the act ended, Sofia was disgusted and made it clear this was not something she would vote yes on. She then said it was “plain masochism.” When Horse said he felt performances like this was his destiny, she said, “It’s a call from God.”
However, Sofia was in the minority. Howie Mandel is a known lover of Jackass-styled performances, and he loved it, giving his yes. Heidi Klum listened to what Howie said and agreed to give it a yes as well. That led to Simon, who gave it a third yes, and Horse moved on.
AGT Fans Agreed With Sofia Vergara
While the America’s Got Talent fans in attendance displayed all the right expressions of horror expected from a Jackass-style performance, fans at home seemed to side with Sofia Vergara and her response.
Many fans who didn’t know Howie Mandel loves these acts seemed shocked that he loved this one.
- “You got to be kidding me, Howie!”
- “The worst act. He teaches kids how to be safe?”
- “That was ridiculous and never should have been voted with a yes.”
Nasty the Horse was popular before coming on America’s Got Talent. While Sofia Vergara and many fans hated it, it remains a popular act, as he has appeared on America Ninja Warrior, Go-Big Show, and The Howard Stern Show. He also holds a Guinness World Record.
