‘American Idol’ Adam Lambert Talks Tripping On Acid

Adam Lambert was on Season 8 of American Idol on FOX, when competition was high, but the winners were probably better able to achieve success. Recently, the runner-up of that season explained how he feared failing on stage so much, he tripped on acid before attempting to go for the talent show.

Adam Lambert Was Very Successful

Although he didn’t win his season on the American Idol show, he is well-respected because he did so well with his music career. So, when he talked about the replacement for Katy Perry at the judges’ table, fans were interested in it. He chose LeAnn Rimes who coached on the show this year.

Some American Idol fans felt that Adam Lambert should rather be the replacement judge for Katy Perry. He’d done very well after the talent show and ended up ranking on Billboard. Later, he took part in the rock band, “Queen” on tour. That did not hurt his rep and he’s become a success in the music industry.

American Idol Runner-Up Had A Lot Of Fear

In a recent interview on Jamie Laing’s Great Company podcast, the singer and songwriter talked about those days when he hadn’t yet made it to the top after American Idol. He’d been at a “music festival” and described how he “tripped on some acid.”

Describing the situation, he said:

I tripped on acid and had this amazing experience where I saw my fear in front of me … as a physical manifestation,. I was in the desert and heard the voice of some higher power. It was like ‘kick it away,’ and I kicked it away, and I saw it shoot across the floor.

After that, Adam Lambert vowed to attempt everything, because he knew that he could control his fear. Well, fame and lots of it came next. While taking acid might not be everyone’s cup of tea, facing fear is something that most people can relate to.
