‘Jeopardy!’ Fans See Hints Champion Could Be Best Of Season
Jeopardy! champion Isaac Hirsch has been on a roll. He had won seven games heading into Friday and finished that day with his eighth win. However, many fans don’t see him falling anytime soon, as he seems to avoid the small things affecting players after multiple games.
Here is a look at Isaac’s run so far and why fans think he will keep winning.
Jeopardy! Fans Think Isaac Hirsch’s End Is Near
Isaac Hirsch just won his eighth game in a row on Friday, July 12. In that contest, he was in a tough battle, with the final score seeing him win with $34,001 compared to second place, where Mike Ferguson, a chemistry professor, finished with $21,501. Many fans don’t think that Isaac will lose any time soon.
On Thursday, Isaac Hirsch won his seventh game. He beat Liz McKenna, a school administrator, and Robert Voyles, a public librarian. The game ended in another big win, with Isaac finishing with $18,400 compared to Robert’s $5,800 and Liz’s $1,200. With the big wins, fans feel that Isaac’s future is bright and that he will keep winning.
Isaac had 27 correct responses overall and seven incorrect on Thursday. Fans seemed impressed at his stamina, even after so many games in a row. Some also think that “Countries of the World” is a good omen for long championship runs.
- “I also felt that Isaac looked better today. He was pretty comfortably in control the whole game.”
- “COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD’s last five FJ appearances were today, the ToC, Stephen Webb’s run, Ray Lalonde’s run, and Cris Pannullo’s run!”
- “Mike has an excellent shot at making Second Chance after his performance today.”
Even a past champion praised his win, as Alison Betts explained the idea of fatigue affecting players. “I can’t speak for Isaac of course, but in my case fatigue was definitely a factor,” she wrote. “I think Isaac managed an impressive win on what was, for me anyway, a pretty tough board!”
Isaac Hirsch Moves Into Second Place For Jeopardy! Season
Isaac Hirsch has now moved into second place on the season, behind only Adrianna Harmeyer. He has won eight games (second to Adrianna’s 15) and $195,389 (second to Adriana’s $349,600). His money wins is over $65,000 more than Drew Basile, with only one more win.
Isaac Hirsch has already qualified for the Tournament of Champions, and it is clear that he will be a strong threat there alongside Harmeyer. He also has a good chance of winning even more in his regular season run, as he needs eight more wins to tie Adriana, and he has shown he is smart enough to do so.
