Bryan Abasolo Puts Bachelorette Star On Blast
No one expected Bachelorette stars Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo to divorce, perhaps not even Rachel Lindsay herself. Her husband abruptly filed for divorce on January 1, 2024, after four years of marriage.
The filing seemingly blindsided the Season 13 Bachelorette. She publicly spoke about their plans to adopt just weeks before the legal battle began.
Bryan Abasolo defended his estranged wife in January after trolls attacked her online, but it seems now the gloves are off. The recent court filings on his behalf reveal many private details about the life of Rachel Lindsay, things she sought to keep out of the media.
For one, the former couple still live together in a house Bryan Abasolo claims he should get half of. The legal documents also claim his monthly income is a lowly $1,700 in comparison to her $60k a month. In addition to asking for spousal support, he wants his ex to pay for his legal bills.
Is Rachel Lindsay Paying Ex’s Legal Bills In Divorce Battle?
As sad as it is to see a once-happy marriage turn to bigger, many fans are standing with Rachel Lindsay on this one. She’s hired the same lawyer Kim Kardashian used when splitting from rapper Kanye.
According to Radar Online, the Bachelorette alum had hoped to resolve the divorce privately without many details hitting the news. That ship has sailed, though.
Now Rachel Lindsay is apparently focused on shutting down every attempt her ex makes at getting her money. To that end, she filed paperwork for the judge to DENY Bryan Abasolo’s request that she pay his legal bills in the divorce battle.
“Bryan continues to reside in Rachel’s home, for which Rachel pays 90% of all expenses,” her lawyer said in the divorce response filing.
But according to the outlet, Rachel Lindsay didn’t give an answer to the section about whether the court should award or reject his claim for spousal support. The former couple are expected back in court soon to hash out an agreement after her ex filed an emergency spousal support request.
