Is eliminated Bachelor star Maria Georgas doing damage control? Bachelor Nation fans think the starlet is spinning a false narrative to excuse her bad behavior. Keep reading for all the juicy details.

‘Mean Girl’ Label Thrown Around On Bachelor Season 28

It seems at least one contestant is placed in the villain role on every season of The Bachelor. But on Season 28, viewers heard more accusations of bullying and “mean girl” behavior than ever. Contestant Lea Cayanan went from being a fan favorite to being despised by fans seemingly overnight.

Maria Georgas was another contestant labeled a bully by the other women. She tangled with Madina Alam, Sydney Gordon, Jess Edwards, and Lea, just to name a few.

Her feud with Sydney ended during a two-on-one date with Maria, Sydney, and Joey that saw Sydney eliminated. Maria was finally sent home after the hometown dates, despite her last-minute plea to Joey.

Rumors are swirling online that she might be the next Bachelorette. Season 21 will air this summer, but the network hasn’t made an official announcement on the lead just yet.

Some fans hope for an announcement during the Women Tell All special tonight, which starts at 9 PM instead of the usual 8 PM timeslot.

Maria Georgas Spinning False Narrative To Excuse Behavior?

Maria Georgas has a bit of a ‘bad girl’ rep after her time on The Bachelor. A strange post defending the reality star was posted on Reddit earlier this week. It’s since been deleted, but apparently, it suggested that Maria acted the way she did on the show because she was bullied herself growing up in a small town in Canada.

A new post popped up referencing the original post. However, the new post wasn’t in defense of Maria. Instead, the poster suggested the initial post was written by Maria herself or her PR team as damage control.

The Redditor who created the post summarized the original post. “There was a post about Maria being bullied. OP claims to have grown up where Maria grew up insinuating it was super super small town and Maria was by far the most attractive person there.”

They added their own take on it. “I find it very annoying that Maria’s PR team has created a narrative that people are mean to Maria just because she’s “so pretty” when personally I have never encountered girls acting that way irl.”

Their assessment of the situation continued, “Pretty girls naturally have lots of friends and hang out with other pretty people. The story of Maria being so beyond the level of attractiveness compared to anyone else in her town, would only check out if she as supermodel level of pretty.”

However, many people in the comments disagreed that pretty girls aren’t bullied. Nor did many people think that Maria or her PR team wrote the original post.

Do you think Maria Georgas would do damage control, or is she just fine with her bad girl reputation? Sound off in the comments.
