Teen mom fans often read about “troubled” Teen Mom star Ryan Edwards, but MTV fans are stressed by the news that his new girlfriend, Amanda Conner seems even more troubled. Things seem serious, and they met in rehab. This week, news emerged that she lost custody of her son when she and her former husband ended up behind bars.

Teen Mom Ryan Edwards Got Into Trouble

The long saga of drugs, violent behavior, and rehab is an old story that Teen Mom fans are well aware of. Mostly, he seems to get by with probation, but time in jail in 2023 might have given him a wake-up call. Last year, he’d gotten in a brawl in a bar and the impatient judge sent him off to stay in jail. That was one of many encounters with the inside of a courtroom.

After a stint in prison, Ryan Edwards went to rehab, and he seemed to do better. However, he met Amanda Conner there, and her alarming rap sheet included theft, possession of meth, and dealing in heroin. Additional charges included fraud. And finally, more charges of “driving under the influence, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance,” landed her in rehab. Actually, MTV fans believe that seemed unfortunate, as she was there at the same time as Ryan, per The Sun.

Amanda Conner Lost Custody Of Her Son – Why?

Teen Mom fans feel upset because the new girlfriend with a shady past allegedly won’t him co-parent. Well, MTV critics might hope she stays away from Mackenzie Edwards’ kids. And from Bentley, who he fathered with Maci Bookout. That’s because of The Sun’s report that she lost custody of her son with her second husband.

According to court papers, Ryan Edwards‘ girlfriend lost custody of Brandon Scott Hancock. His birth happened in 2013. By 2014, a court order granted her dad, Jesse “temporary custody of Brandon.” The court papers added:

The court found said child dependent and neglected based upon both parents being incarcerated and leaving the child in Hamilton County without a legal guardian. Therefore, in the best interest of the child, the Court awarded legal custody of the petitioners.

Although her dad passed away, it seems that young Brandon still lives with his grandmother, Lisa. Apparently, if Ryan Edwards’ girlfriend wants to see her son, it’s at her mom’s discretion.
