Security Guard For Taylor Swift Joins War In Israel

Finishing the first leg of her Eras Tour over the summer, Taylor Swift performed 56 shows that grossed a staggering $780 million as over three million fans attended her shows. Besides entertaining millions, the amount of detail and preparation that goes into a single show is overwhelming. And at the center of each show, is a team of security who’s job is to keep the iconic singer safe. While protecting Swift is no easy task, one security guard decided to return home to Israel and join forces against the Hamas attacks.

On October 7, the world watched as a Hamas group waged war on Israel as they hurled 3000 rockets at major cities in just under 30 minutes, killing 1,400 people. The Palestinian health ministry said Tuesday that nearly 3,000 people died in the Gaza Strip. With no signs of a ceasefire and the war waging on, Israel declared they would wipe out Hamas.

“I Got An Amazing Dream Job”

With hospitals in the area warning they were on the verge of collapsing due to electricity cuts, Taylor Swift’s security guard decided to return home and fight alongside his country. According to Eran Swisa, the Israeli Journalist who broke the news on Swift’s security, noted the individual was born in Kibbutz and wished to remain anonymous.

Speaking with the journalist, the security said he had a “great life” in America. “I got an amazing dream job that I love, great friends that I call family and a very comfortable home. I didn’t HAVE to come here…” The man explained he refused to “stand on the sidelines while families are being slaughtered and burned alive in their homes!!! Just for being Jewish or for being Israelis.”

Considering Hamas not even “human beings”, the security guard added, “They killed and slaughtered families in their beds alongside family’s pets!!!! And then they burned the houses down!!!! Try to imagine that happening in your own neighborhood, to your next door neighbors or to a family you know.”

Taylor Swift’s once-security guard insisted that people not “be on the wrong side of history!! Don’t stand on the sidelines and say nothing… Stand with Israel, stand with HUMANITY!!!!!”

Protecting Taylor Swift

During the summer, the security guard went viral for a video of him protecting Taylor Swift as she greeted fans. While Taylor seemed at ease, the guard’s eyes continuously darted around, making sure the area was safe. Numerous fans commented on his dedication and how safe Swift must feel.

Although seen with Taylor Swift, it is unknown if the individual worked for the singer or was hired by the stadium hosting the event. For now, Swift remains silent on the Israel-Hamas war as she promotes her Eras Tour film in theaters.
