The latest claim making rounds on various social media platforms is that a Taylor Swift Eras ride is heading to Disney World. More specifically, the original report claims the ride is heading to the Walt Disney World Resort’s Hollywood Studios theme park.

A website called Mouse Trap News published an article at the beginning of the month claiming a “Taylor Swift Eras Ride” was coming to Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios theme park. Noticeably, the website published the article about a week before the premiere of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour concert movie.

A screenshot of the report has been featured on several TikTok videos including one that accumulated over half a million views. Mouse Trap News also uploaded a video reporting the news which can be viewed below:

Fortunately, Snopes — a website dedicated to debunking fake news — caught wind of this report making rounds on social media. And, they did a deep dive to determine whether Swifties were getting bamboozled. Or, did they have something to look forward to?

Per Snopes, the claim even spilled over to Twitter where Swifties begged for answers on whether Disney had a Taylor Swift Eras ride in the works.

Unfortunately, Taylor Swift fans don’t have to dig very deep to learn that this claim is fake news. Technically, Mouse Trap News is a satire site. On the “about us” section of the website Mouse Trap News clarifies they are a satire site. They affirm that everything reported on the site is 100 percent fake news.
