‘Masked Singer’ Fans Angry Over Unexpected Show Surprise
Presently, the Masked Singer fans are buzzing about the latest show. Presumably, the Masked Singer producers were trying to offer fans a gift. However, not everyone thinks it was a good present. Particularly, fans that felt left out of the surprise. When the show made some schedule changes and offered a “Sunday Special” not everyone got the message, especially since it normally airs on Wednesdays. Fans are expressing their frustrations about this special.
Masked Singer Announces A Format Change
The release date wasn’t the only change for Masked Singer Season 10. With the anniversary show, they added spice to the formatting. While it may seem strange, this is exciting news for fans. If you tune in, you know the show changed a couple of seasons ago. At that point, the format was three singers perform each week. Then, one singer unmasked halfway through. So there was only one chance for them to sing before revealing their identity. And a second singer unmasked at the end. So only one person moved on in each episode.
Currently, the Masked Singer contestants will split into three groups. Each week, the three groups of singers face off. Then a Battle Royale semi-final episode for each group happens. Additionally, a wild card contestant will return for each group to keep it interesting. They brought the “Ding Dong Keep It On” bell back. However, there is only one chance to use it, and only in the Battle Royale episodes. It will send that person straight to the Finals round.
Masked Singer Schedule Change
Unexpectedly, the Masked Singer made a schedule change. Instead of kicking off the season on September 27th as originally planned, a Sunday special aired on September 10th. For those who knew, this was an exciting gift, but many fans didn’t get the update and missed the first show. Even those who saw the first one have expressed that it is disappointing they have to wait almost two weeks for the next episode.
Season Kickoff With Spoilers
And Season 10 kick-off Sunday unveiled Anonymouse. It was a bit odd since she was the only performer. Revealing, Anonymouse is Demi Lovato which was already a fan theory. Additionally, Masked Singer showcased the top five best performances on the show. Clues were also given for masks for this season. It gave a tease to a possible Vanderpump Rules star being one of the masked. So it was considered a kickoff to the season and not the first episode. But to those who missed it, that didn’t seem to help ease the blow. Even though the Masked Singer posted the reveal to social media, some fans were confused that there was already an episode.
What Were Fans Saying?
It was a bit shocking and extremely confusing to many Masked Singer fans. One said, “Wait how do we already have a spoiler alert? I thought the show doesn’t start until the 27th?” Another asked,”… What happened to the show premiering on the 27th? All of a sudden it aired tonight and there’s a ton of spoilers everywhere?” A response was given saying, “If you haven’t watched Tonight’s ep, don’t bother. it’s just a Season Preview. #maskedsinger.” And then someone said, “So confused at #MaskedSinger right now.”
