The Masked Singer Kicks Off WIth High-Profile Reveal
Season 10 of The Masked Singer won’t continue until later in September. But fans of the costumed singing competition got a treat on Sunday, September 10th, with a special anniversary episode.
The episode featured a slew of former contestants performing, but this time without their masks. Michelle Williams (Butterfly, Season 2) and Rumer Willis (Lion, Season 1) performed Aretha Franklin’s hit “(You Make Me Feel Like) a Natural Woman.”
Joey Fatone (Rabbit, Season 1) and Bow Wow (Frog, Season 3) sang “ABC” by the Jackson 5.
Viewers were also treated to a rendition of Heart’s song “What About Love?” by a masked singer, “Anonymouse.” However, “Anonymouse” isn’t a regular contestant on Season 10. Variety called the performance a “one-off,” as the celebrity was always meant to be unmasked.
Guesses from the judges ranged from Miley Cyrus to Jennifer Hudson, but they were all wrong. “Anonymouse” was revealed to be singer and former Disney star Demi Lovato.
The September 10th episode also teased the identity of “The Diver” and fans are convinced they recognize the celebrity from Vanderpump Rules.
Which Vanderpump Rules Star Is Rumored For This Season?
Vanderpump Rules made serious headlines earlier this year after a cheating scandal between Rachel Leviss and Tom Sandoval rocked the show to the core. Sandoval had been in a long-term relationship with co-star Ariana Madix, while Leviss was previously engaged to James Kennedy, who also stars on the show.
The illicit affair led to the end of years-long friendships and Madix and Sandoval’s relationship, though they still live together.
Ariana Madix cashed in on the scandal, partnering with brands such as Bloomingdales, BIC razors, and UberOne. She will also appear on Season 32 of Dancing With The Stars.
However, she’s not the Vanderpump Rules star fans think is on The Masked Singer. In the celebrity’s promo package, “The Diver” says, “Usually I’m pretty pumped, but lately I’ve been lost in the abyss. I might be the most hated creature in the ocean right now.”
They continued, “Usually you can find me under the sea, but for this clue you’ll have to look to the sky,” before unveiling the first clue to their identity: a cardinal.

Many fans of the show replied in agreement, with some noting that it sounds just like Sandoval, who moonlights as a singer with his band The Most Extras.
He’s also from St. Louis, home to baseball’s St. Louis Cardinals.
Vanderpump Villain Takes A Beating On Special Forces
If the rumors are true that “The Diver” is Tom Sandoval, he’ll be doing double-duty this Fall on Fox’s reality shows. He is one of the contestants on Season 2 of Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
He’ll compete in military-grade challenges alongside reality stars such as Tyler Cameron (The Bachelorette) and Savannah Chrisley (Chrisley Knows Best.)
Special Forces premieres on Fox on Monday, September 25, at 9 p.m. Eastern. The next episode of The Masked Singer airs on Wednesday, September 27, at 8 p.m.
