‘Days Of Our Lives’ & ‘Batman’ Star Arleen Sorkin Dead At 67

Tragic breaking news for fans of Batman and Days Of Our Lives as Arleen Sorkin has been confirmed dead at the age of 67.

The actress was best known for her role as Calliope Jones in NBC’s Days Of Our Lives. And, her role as the voice actor as the OG Batman villain, Harley Quinn.

Days Of Our Lives & Batman Star Arleen Sorkin Dead

According to TMZ, Arleen Sorkin was forced to put her acting career on hold these past few years because of her health. Unfortunately, the exact details regarding her cause of death have not been made public. Outlets, however, are speculating she lost her battle to some of the ailments that benched her from her career in Hollywood these past few years.

Arleen Sorkin’s stint as Harley Quinn back in 1992 for the Batman the Animated Series was intended to be a one-and-done situation. DC fans, however, loved Harley. And, they thought Arleen did an incredible job voicing the role. So, her stint as Harley got renewed several different times. And, the actress ended up retaining her role as Harley Quinn for several video games and a few different animated movies.

Arleen Sorkin stepped into her role as Calliope Jones in NBC’s Days Of Our Lives in 1984. She held onto the character until 2010 for a little over 420 episodes.

Moreover, she continued to make appearances as the voice of Harley Quinn in the DC universe until 2012. The final credit on her resume was for a video game called DC Universe Online: The Last Laugh. The actress also snagged a small part in the hit TV series Fraiser as a character named Rachel for just one episode.

James Gunn shared a stunning photo of Arleen on Instagram as he talked about what a devastating loss this was to the DC universe.

Rest in Peace, Arleen Sorkin, the incredibly talented original voice of Harley Quinn, who helped to create the character so many of us love. Love to her family and friends.”

Many other celebrities who had the chance to work with this stunning talent over the years also took to social media to pay tribute to her.

Mark Hamill, for example, had a pretty close relationship with Arleen. He had the pleasure of working beside her as the voice of none other than The Joker. So, learning of her passing hit him pretty hard.
