A lot has happened in the first three Dawn Cutler movies. Here is what Midnight Whispers is all about. According to The Futon Critic, Dawn’s daughter Christie has grown up in love and plenty. She doesn’t have a want for everything.
However, she feels a “dark presence over her.” Her family has not given her any indication about the taboo and sketchy things in their past. Yet, she has a gut feeling she cannot identify. Worst of all, a tragic family death makes her feel the darkness even further. Christie feels so much grief as she searches for ways to soothe her sorrow.
Her grief is turned to shock when she uncovers her Uncle Philip’s secrets. This frightens her to the core. Now, with this revelation, she must leave. Subsequently, she packs her bags and goes to New York City to seek out her real father.
There, in the Big Apple, she meets Jimmy’s stepbrother Gavin. He has some clues about what Christie is searching for. Soon, the two head to The Meadows. This is the plantation where she was born. But, this is not a light and happy place. Instead, this place is filled with dark dread. Many secrets are deep and dire. They are all shocking. Now, Christie has to bear the horrible truth.
Can Christie overcome her family history and escape the Cutler curse? Or is she doomed to relive generations of sorrow and grief?
