Tammy Slaton is well-known for using heavy filters on Instagram — so what happens when she finally goes without them?
The TLC star is getting more comfortable with her appearance and chose to get rid of the filters for her latest Instagram selfies. Overall, fans were really pleased with her decision and encouraged her to use heavy filters less frequently.

Tammy Slaton shines in new Instagram photo dump
During 1000-Lb Sisters Season 4, fans were amazed at Tammy Slaton’s dedication during her stay in rehab. She made amazing progress and qualified for bariatric surgery. And she’s shown no signs of slowing down from there.
Not long ago, Amy Halterman posted photos of herself and Tammy enjoying a girls’ night out. Tammy was enjoying herself with the other women and stood and posed for pictures without assistance. On top of that, she didn’t appear to need oxygen any longer either.
Now, Tammy has decided to go without filters for her latest Instagram photos. This definitely came as a surprise to her long-time followers, but they were so excited to see more of the real Tammy.
“6 beautiful photos of myself without filters,” the TLC star proudly captioned her Instagram selfies.
“So proud of you❤️” her physician Dr. Eric Smith wrote in the comments. Plenty of fans and followers also sang Tammy’s praises.
“Your skin looks so good! What do you use on it? Looking so healthy, Tammy,” a follower wrote.
“Beautiful! Congrats on your health journey, you look amazing and you’re a star,” another added.
Tammy Slaton’s journey is far from over, but fans are incredibly excited to see how much progress she’s made over the past year. Hopefully she keeps up the hard work and keeps moving forward.
The 1000-Lb Sisters star seems to be in a healthier headspace
After taking nearly a year-long social media break, Tammy Slaton actively posts on both Instagram and TikTok these days. And fans can definitely see a difference in the TLC star.
She appears much happier with herself and life in general. In one TikTok video, she even showcased her lovely voice and sang for the camera. She hasn’t exactly had the easiest life, but it appears that she’s doing her best to make the most of her time moving forward.
If 1000-Lb Sisters returns for a fifth season, fans hope they will get to see more of Tammy’s positive progress.
